In fact, it is common among all newbie to get into this mix and most of them do not know much about the importance of visibility or attaining one.

In the video above, I discussed about my thoughts on posting and engagement with some advice that I give to newbies under me to properly balance engagement with publishing on the blockchain.

Feel free to leave your thoughts 🤗😊

If you just keep on posting without dropping comments at the end of the day you'll end up with a lot of underrewarded posts. They are many good posts that go underrewarded because they were not seen by the right eyes, simply because the person did not comment.

This happened to me a few times when I first started. And like you said once it's posted it can't be posted again.

  • post and engagement compliment each other.
  • The more you engage, the more people get to know you, and the more follower you get.
  • Play smart on your article.
  • spent time reading and learning from other authors.
  • There are high probability of having authors from which you've engaged with, coming back to engage on your contain as well.
  • In conclusion, posting is good, but it'll be a waste of content if you ain't getting enough reward of it, so engagement is the key to growth and you attaining you goals on hive.

Thanks @starstrings01 for this masterpiece.

I'll be setting it as a guild and a watchword in my hive journey. Have a pleasant night rest.

Frankly, it is a masterpiece embedded by quintessential gold(the advice). But @vickoly in engaging,is it that you follow persons and comment and communicate meanifully...
Must it be in specific communities you are in or any one that comes your way? ..etc.

@starstrings01 what do you think too?

You're on point.

In my opinion, I'll say **it's best to engage with people of like mind(meaning you engage with people who do the things you do, because they'll most likely appreciate it more than others will)

The same thing goes with posting, when you post your content in a community that relate with you content, then it'll be more appreciated(not that you post your food related content that as no atom of finance in leofinace, when it should have been in foodies Bee hive).

Also I think it's best you engage with people of high reputation more than you engage with people with low reputation.

And lastly when he said engagement, he's not taking about simple comments like "Beautiful", "Good job and co" but. What he meant are meaningful and quality comments .

I hope you understand!

I wish you a pleasant Hiving experience.

Sweet dreams.

Nice one @vickoly. Looks like you have been following my past videos.

Generally For me, I engage with different people regardless of their reputation. In fact, The people I engage with mostly have far lesser reputation than me. As they say, the young shall grow.

I can post atleast thrice or five times a week and use the other days to engage with other authors, so as to gain more followers, visibility and curation when i post on the platform.

I got the above valuable point from your video.
Thank you @starstrings01

A good one here @starstrings01. Honestly, you just gave germane answers to the questions I wanted to ask you lately. But in the real sense how does one "engage"? Cos I feel its just more than the word itself.

And Because I do hear this almost all the time, maybe you'd have to do a detailed video to answer "how to engage effectively?"

I use to tell people that just posting without a meaningful engagement with others is like one is shortchanging themselves.

Thanks for this piece.

Yeah. And I ask myself, why do I post where there is no one to view the post? Engagement brings audience. Audience brings growth.
