Save Time and Work Efficiently on Hive ⏱

This post is for everyone and anyone, but especially for those who are new here and are still learning to navigate these platforms. After the virtual meet up with the Suriname Hive community, which was organized by @jeanlucsr, I felt that there's so much "knowledge" and experience to share, that the time we had wasn't enough. Aside from time, there's only so much one could digest and let alone remember after one meet up.

Work efficiently, so you have more time to do the things you love.

There's so much to learn here in the community; even I am still learning. There's the technical side to cryptocurrency and blogging, but there's also an organizing side to navigating all of this. Everyone will eventually find their own ways and methods or learn from others and make it their own.

Here are some of my experiences that I gladly share with you:

  • One of the very first things I've learned here is to "write down" my ideas or rather save my ideas somewhere, so I could retrieve them and update the status at any time. It's also helpful for those times that I didn't know what to write about. You could use the "old" fashioned notepad and check them off when you're done, but I prefer doing it digitally so that I can access them at any time. As you can see below I use a simple spreadsheet, with colors because I'm very visual. With the word 'complete' and/or 'in progress' everywhere, would make it too crowded for me. You're allowed to use this for yourself and even update it, because what works for me doesn't have to for you.

  • What I've also learned during my short time here is to use the draft and template functions, to save time and to work efficiently. Why would you constantly, when writing a new post, copy paste footers and/or banners to your created post, if you could just choose your template and start writing and adding pictures? Time is money after all 😅 or better yet priceless 😏. You could also save the tags in your templates, especially the ones you know you will use more often.
Ssshhhhh... don't tell anyone; it's between us 🙃.

I think that's enough for today; it needs to stay "digestible" (don't know why I use a food analogy, it's not that I'm hungry again 😅). Let me know if any of this has been helpful in any way or if you're already using these methods, be it adjusted or not.

Chasse into the backstage! 💃

Structure really destroys my creative process. But it does help bring routine. I've made and abandoned so many spreadsheets 😅. So... the solution that works best for me. I work with structured people that rock and like that I take care of the creative while they take care of the structure.

Hahahaha I know what you mean... I'm actually also aversive to routine and get bored easily. Yes, I can focus at a task for hours, but I don't like to do the same thing over and over again. It was/is also hard for me to post something everyday, because I want to be inspired about what I'm writing about.

Because we can't predict where or whenever those ideas come up, writing down or saving those virtually helps to access those ideas whenever we're ready.

It must be awesome to have that balance in your team: the creative and structured workers. I've experienced that myself and the dynamic and work we delivered was really above expectations.
