Thankfully, it's another sunny FriYAY! ☀☀ yup, the typhoon is totally out of the country now. We'll enjoy a bit of good weather for the weekend I suppose. 😊😊

It's time for another Money Talk edition. I mentioned about the 50-30-20 rule that I learned during my financial advising stint. That's percentage of divide from your paycheck:

50% living expenses
30% lifestyle
20% savings

I live a rather simple day-to-day life, so I swapped lifestyle with savings. I like that better. Lately, I will need to go back to the drawing board to accommodate extra expenses for the kitties. Boy, they're picky eaters and one has to be creative in coming up with their feed. 😹😹

I'm working towards finding extra income source to maintain the 50% allotment. I used to have freelance tutorials, but the age of corona makes that not feasible as it's now mostly distance learning for students. 🙄🙄 online income possibilities are what I'm turning to these days.

Food expenses comprise a majority of the monthly expenses, so there is a need to have a weekly / biweekly meal plan in order to have a budgeted list. 😂📝 the trick really is in the planning.

It's been difficult to keep track of the money now that is a little less with me just work when I'm needed...especially for food lol
I do also think planning is essential but I'm bad at planning things ahaha
Need to push myself for it.

happy Friday too! I've always been a tickler for planning to make ends meet. I suppose I just got used to it over the years 😉👍🏼 sometimes even with the best plans, things still go wrong, so it's truly imporrant to keep track of spendings 😊😊 you can try on a daily basis until you get the hang of it 😉👍🏼 i'm sure you'll do great!

Happy Friday, Sis! YAY! I am super happy to have the weekend almost upon us. I am working a lot today but tomorrow, I am going to completely decompress. It's been bit of a tough week but each day is getting better. :) I hope your weekend will be awesome, too!

I really like your Financial Friday episodes. Budgeting is super important. I am redoing mine now & getting back to meal planning, etc. I kind of lost track of my grocery expenses & it is so easy to buy tons of food without really NEEDING all of it. I might go back to my Hello Fresh subscription for awhile since I have a discount for the next 6 deliveries. It gives you recipes and the actual food for the cooking in pre-measured amounts so you're not wasting anything. Being single, too, can sometimes make it hard to cook so I like this because the recipes are awesome & I save on food waste. Of course, as you said, I need my treats too like chocolate, fruit & crackers. lol

definitely saving the dance for later 🤣😂 have a great decompressing weekend 😃😃 time flies by too fast! I need to keep listing down tasks as they tend to be left behind if I simply forget about them.

Well, there are but three of us at home, and food budgeting is tough with the increasing prices of commodities. Now, there are more cat mouths to feed for our family 😂🤣 so I definitely need to plan for meals. Planning really helps 'coz sometimes even with a really good plan, things go wrong 🤣😂 adjustments are necessary 😁😁

Keeping it simple works wonders in real life! 😁😁 now that there's the lockdown, i'm making the most by turning it to our advantage 🤣😂 what's important is there's income. Gotta build that stable passive income for better buffer for the future 🤓🤓

Happy Friday Rosyel, and interesting to hear about your budgeting and expenses, and that 50-30-20 rule seems really good to live by, and I am sure that the kittes are worth their expense, with all pictures and vidoes you have put up on Hive about them I bet they are earning their keep quite well from your rewards.

Well, the kitties do bring happiness and laughter. I suppose that's well worth it. I have learned that it's tough being a cat mom. I have much to learn in having kittens. They're so vulnerable.
