IAAC Day 62 | Excellence Is an Attitude

Middle of the week! Exactly a week from now, it will be July. Oh boy! Time flies... esp. now that I work on my daily #iamalivechallenge videos. In a way, I like it in the sense that it motivates me to look forward to a brand new day. Each new day is a chance to do things differently, to do better, and to be better.

I missed the chance of working and improving our home garden during the two and a half months of lockdown. I'm not surprised 'coz I was of a different mindset then. Not a pleasant one, if I may add. Now that I see the terrace garden at the workplace daily, it pushes me to want the same ambience for our home container garden. It will definitely be a smaller scale than the one at the office. LOL! But it's a start. Baby steps...

I'm not sure if you will agree with me, but I say that excellence is an attitude. Well, it definitely can be worked on and improved. I remember an advice from a high school class adviser. We were graduating that time when she gave us a short going away speech in class. What stuck with me was when she said...

"Whatever you do, do it excellently."

That advice stays with me to this day. You could say I was young and idealistic when I first heard it. I had gone on to live life and became an adult. I still believe in it. But sometimes, I wonder if caring also plays a part in being and doing excellently. I think that's another topic I could touch upon another day.

Happy midweek! We have reached the middle of the week. Let us enjoy the coming days ahead. Almost the weekend...

That garden at your workplace looks especially awesome when it is a sunny day!

I can't agree more with you about excellence and can confirm that I have that problem that you said... Every day, I'm trying to improve my vlogs and posts to be better, more excellent (of course, they are far away from that... lol)... And that is an attitude...

And the "negative" side is also a truth... When you are trying hard to do something better, and you don't see that amount of "motivation" for excellence in others, that can be disappointing... It shouldn't be, but it hits sometimes... I'm guilty! :)

Ahhh excellence is needed esp if one works in customer service or runs a service company. That usually spells the difference between companies that grow their clientele and those that fold after a while. But that excellence concept is quite uncommon where I am. :P

What a beautiful garden and awesome view! Thanks for sharing your walk! Your title reminds me of a saying I used to hear. Anything worth doing is worth doing well! I am not sure where that is from. My interpretation is that when you take pride and ownership of whatever you're doing it shows!

Boy, did I resonate with your video! "Excellence is an attitude" - that is spot on. And I agree with you & @ph1102, I can be guilty of disappointed when I don't see others bring their excellence to the table. I work hard on my content as you guys do & sometimes I can be a perfectionist too. So, that's where I try hard to achieve balance. Alas, sometimes I just have to remind myself I am still human. Lol

I really love your surroundings. It would be fun to get a tour of it sometime. I love plants even though I am terrible at keeping them alive. 🤣🤣💚 Awesome video! Sending pixie dust your way 🧚💜

That is a really cool garden you have at the office, looks like a great place for a break.

I agree, excellence is an attitude. I know many people that I get so frustrated with because they are good with being just OK. I can't image not trying to improve and be better everyday. Great post.
