The Content Quality Dilemma (#IAAC 076)

The Content Quality Dilemma is something a lot of people come across.
In short, it means that you are for some reason or another not satisfied with the quality of the content you produce, and therefore, don't want to publish it or worse, you never even get started. Often we don't know to handle/approach it.

It is often the reason why perfectionist are sometime hesitant to start something and a reason why a lot of people don't follow through on their dreams. For me personally, it crippled me from making videos (which I'll explain later this week).

Another way the dilemma plays a role is for those who are a specialist in a specific field and want to try something new, but are confronted with the fact that switching lanes might result in producing something of lesser quality. This is something in particular my friend @jilljoyl81 is struggling with, just like many others.

If you have any tips, feel free to share how you approach this dilemma.

Hahah I'm struggling with the same problem!
And I've had this conversation before but my tips would be this: We have a lot of options at hand to get comfortable without posting anything on your built up platform. You can start creating, whether that is writing, videos, photos or whatever for yourself at first.... You also have the option to create a small (closed) group of trusted friends where you guys experiment together (so only the group sees the content), also the internet gives you enough "segmented" platforms where you can create without the same pressure (e.g. My Hive following is not even near my IG, FB or LinkedIn)... All of these give you the option to increase your skills, to get comfortable and become confident! (without having to be perfect)

On a sidenote is @jilljoyl81 back? 👀😃 #askingforafriend

Solid tips!

I guess we'll see if she's back. If she responds to these comments, she is 😂

hello dear friend @jeanlucsr good day
Excellent topic that you have touched and it is appreciated that you have given your opinion
This is one of the three problems that a content creator often faces. One is the material to be published, the quality of the content and the duration of the content, logically later there are other issues to decide with which public you aim. anyway
Excellent work, I really appreciate that you played it
Have a great day

Hey @jlufer,
Thanks for sharing. I've used 3 things in todays video as well. 2 the same, 1 slightly different. I'll try to incorporate your points into my video for tomorrow.

Great to see you alive and well @jeanlucsr, and also a good question, now if you are talking about going from writing to video we have the Hive Video Masters in beta, it's a video mentorship program and that could be perfect to start with videos, keep up your great work, it's awesome.

Omg! I can totally relate to this. I have been switching up my content genre lately (back and forth) to add variety & to keep things fresh. Well, sometimes I wonder if my audience finds it as valuable. Like @jilljoyl81 & yourself, I always want to provide quality content. That's sometimes why I ask for feedback on what they like. I am pretty transparent so I just ask directly. Sometimes they will tell me, sometimes not...but I can tell on engagement level, upvotes, etc.

Ultimately, my bestie reminded me to always do content I enjoy first...because the joy I get out of that will show & your audience will come. There's always someone out there who will enjoy what you do. :) I hope that helps a little! Keep up your awesome content, my friend! 👍🙂💚

100% agree. You have to enjoy making the content.

And to be honest Jenn, comments like these do help ☺
