Good Day Guys

I slept at around 12 am last night and woke up at 5 am. and then I went back to sleep. I woke up at around 6 am already then got ready for work. I also finished writing my blog. I left the house at around 7:35. I had to pick up one of my colleagues who lived nearby because she asked if she could ride with me going to work. I then drove and parked the car at our family friend's place. We passed through the triage and timed in. We then went to our department. To our surprise when we got there, one of our doctors was already there. She was asking what happened the day before.

Here's what happened. When I updated our doctor regarding one of the patients, our doctor suddenly asked me hows is patient S? I immediately asked my colleagues who is patient S and if there's a chart. Apparently, there was a chart. I told our doctor no one endorsed that new patient to me and that patient wasn't treated. He was angry about it and messaged the group chat. I was kinda nervous because he's different when he gets mad.

Our doctor then endorsed all our patients and told us who to treat. We then got ready to treat all our patients. Patient 1 is a new patient, at first, it was difficult to talk to her, and then she opened up. She said that she was a frustrated doctor. She said because of the lack of cash, she wasn't able to pursue medicine but instead, she took dentistry. She was also talking about her love life before, wherein she used to date a multi-millionaire. She also said her frustrations regarding her grandchild. Her main complaint was dizziness according to our doctor, but when we got there she wasn't dizzy at all but we still treated her.

We went to patient 2, who was just across patient ones' room. We asked if he wanted to get treated and he said at 10 am. So we went to patient 3 first. Patient 3 was the patient who was not treated yesterday. She's a stroke patient. But when we saw her she was actually strong because she was already seated at the bedside chair. We were able to make her walk but we also had to remind her to walk slowly because we wouldn't like her to fall. She said that her right knee and ankle were hurting but we couldn't do anything about it.

We went back to patient 2, I really feel bad for this patient. Whenever we see him he is degrading. His pressure sore is getting worse so we couldn't mobilize him. We were only until exercising with him. After finishing patient 2, we tried to go to patient 4. But the watcher requested if he could get created later in the afternoon because he was still sleeping. We just left the walker inside their room so we don't have to be carrying it around the hospital. We then went to patient 5 who was located at the other building and when we entered his room he was also dead asleep. His wife also requested if we could go back this afternoon.

When we went down, we were already anticipating our doctor, if he would be saying anything to me. When he arrived he spoke to our chief and secretary. When he called me I was nervous but when he spoke to me he just endorsed his patients to me and I also updated him regarding his patient and added some more managements. I really thought he would get mad at me but he didn't. Luckily he knows how to control his anger now.

We then ate lunch and I was just resting. At around 1:30 we decided to go up. We went to patient 5, while walking to him we saw one of our doctors. Our doctor told us that they already want to make patient 5 do wheelchair rides but we are having problems with his tolerance when short sitting dangling and his BP also drops. So she just told us to see if he could tolerate short sitting for a longer period. When we went to his room, he was wide awake. We had to make him short sit. He actually has a problem with drooling also. He was drooling nonstop and it would become worse when he was talking. I would describe it as a waterfall. I really don't know why he can't control his drooling, He also doesn't like swallowing it. I really hope that he gets well soon because I heard that he would be celebrating his birthday on Sunday.

After treating that patient we went to patient 4. When we got there we were already fixing all our stuff but suddenly, he said that he wanted to take a dump. So we waited outside. While waiting outside we were just using our phones. We also waited for him to get cleaned by one of the nursing aides. Actually, the same thing happened to me the day before. As soon as the nursing aide was done, we went inside to treat him. He actually had a lot of things to be done. The first thing that we tried was standing inside the walker, he had no footstool so this got me really sweaty squatting and supporting his weak knee because there was a tendency where it would buckle. We were also able to make him take 6 steps forward and he got tired. We then used all the other modalities on him. It was really fun treating him because he is a really positive person who brings your hopes up. He also loves joking.

After finishing him, I was drained and really sweaty. We went down to our department and disinfected ourselves and all our equipment. We had to charge and do the notes and update our doctors. I was just resting till it hit 5. I then immediately went home.

When I got home I was really curious about our grotto. When I looked at it we had a termite infestation. I took some photos of it. I'm thinking of how we could get rid of it. Then got home and cleaned up and then ate and I was just resting the whole night. I hope that you enjoyed your Friday guys!
