WednesdayWalk | A Walk in Quarantine
Inspired by #WednesdayWalk by @tattoodjay
Photos featured are from my collection. Took this photo as I got back from my walk, waiting for rain.
We are on our 11th week of lockdown. It's anybody's guess when things will be "back to normal" here. I get to read how a lot of the world are opening up, and I do wonder what we have done wrong to deserve such an incompetent government.
more vehicles out in the streets
I won't dwell in the drama. Rather, I will focus on what's on hand, and what I could do despite it all. Well, I don't go out every day, as my quarantine pass only allows me T-Th-S schedule. Even then, I try to limit contact with the outside world.
alley at the back of our street
It is interesting, however, to see a bit more people and businesses opening up this past week. We're even getting slow traffic along our street. It's as if everyone is oblivious to the current lockdown. I suppose it's every man for himself. Business folks need to get back to business. Daily wage workers need salary to survive on a day to day basis. Somehow covid-19 poses less threat than going hungry and being penniless for a vast majority of working folks. It is, after all, survival of the fittest.
there's traffic at the corner
The future is filled with uncertainty. I myself am not sure if there is a job to get back to. Bahala na. (translates: whatever happens, happens) I will find a way, I suppose.
neighbors back in business
PS. The rain never came. I think it drizzled a bit, but I certainly didn't feel it at all.
Thanks for joining me this week on #WednesdayWalk.

thank you :)
I don't think you're alone on those thoughts. Most governments seem to be quite incompetent. Some are only more incompetent than others. 🤪
Your city looks like a concrete jungle... are there some public parks over there, at least?
No public parks near me. It would be at least a ride away. How I wish we have a park where we can walk for exercise, huh?
That would be good... I wouldn't be able live in such a gray city. That's not for me. I need to see trees when I open the window. 🙄
That sounds lovely! I will have to live farther from the city to get closer to nature. Stay safe! :)
That's what I did. I got out of the city and came to a more rural area!
