All photos featured are from my collection. Wayback Wednesday to our walk to Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, Ilocos Norte .

When you take things too seriously these days, you might end up feeling depressed. One of the ways that I get by is through escapism. It's just a way to cope with the realities of quarantine life. I mostly keep busy with catching up with sleep, doing household chores, running out to buy essentials (which I try not to do very often), playing with the pets, or doing online stuff.

Yesterday, it was announced that our enhanced community quarantine would be extended until the end of April. I really wouldn't mind at all, esp. if there are no bills waiting to be paid. As it is, I try not to think too far ahead to avoid worrying too much. One day at a time... #tomorrowisthegoal.

Let me take you back to that happy escape when my daughter and I traveled to the Ilocos province back in 2017. I previously featured our walk to Kabigan Falls with Mom. Yup, she's with us during the entire Ilocos Adventure tour. She walked far and wide even at her age. It's funny, but now that we're on quarantine, and she's not allowed to go out at all, she is becoming more irritable and restless. LOL! I suppose I'm more of a homebody than she is. I digress.

Look at how happy Mom was on the above photo! I suppose she does love a bit of adventure. Well, the goal for the walk is to reach the end of the long walk where you'll find this huge natural rock formation. I took this zoomed photo.

It's rocky everywhere you look, but there's a paved path that made it easy for walking. You just have to have the energy for the long walk. We're quite used to walking a lot, and quite enjoy it, esp. when we're out of town.

Then there's this interesting stone statue that was added to one side. That I'm sure was man-made. The huge rocks were natural formations.

There we were for a group photo. There were guides who were willing to take our photos for a minimal fee. They also gave a lot of suggestions on how to take our photos. Here, he told us to crop the photo so it would appear to look like Santorini in Greece. LOL!

There's my daughter with a perspective shot. The guide was the one who gave the instructions and took the photo too. Amazing, huh? He really knew his stuff.

And there's Mom, who likes to have lots of photos taken. We took them as we stopped to rest a bit before continuing on with the long walk. Ilocos Norte is also known for its wind turbines. We also got to visit the Bangui Windmills.

Naturally, we did not forget my daughter's jump shot photo. She loved doing that esp when she was younger. It's great to have more than a few of them in my collection.

I hope you enjoyed my featured walk for the week. Be safe and well, wherever you are in the world!

See you next time for more #WednesdayWalk. Happy midweek!
