Youtube is getting PIP Feature for Apple

Youtube is one of the services by Google that has been used a lot by users across the world. They offer premium services that include no advertisement and Picture-in-Picture support but this PIP was available only on android devices however now Google is is going to release this to iOS users as well.

This is a nice feature that allows us to watch content while working on another app and we can move the window anywhere on the screen. Its a similar option that we get on @threespeak known as floating window and I like this very much. I have been using it for a long time on my android phone and now finally Apple users are going to get this feature. Its not a free service on android and I need to pay INR 129 per month which is almost $2 and I find it worthy because I also get rid of advertisements after paying this subscription fee. I pay subscription only for these 2 reasons and happy with the paid youtube subscription.

YouTube app on iOS and iPadOS is finally getting picture-in-picture (PiP) support, according to a new report. This feature allows YouTube videos to be played in a small window while using other apps. With iOS 14, Apple added picture-in-picture support to iOS and iPadOS for when using FaceTime or watching a video but, at the time, the YouTube app did not support it. The report also states that the feature is rolling out to YouTube Premium subscribers on iOS first

As of now, they are rolling out this feature only for paid users on the Apple platform (iPhone and iPad) but is mentioned that they will roll out this for free users as well however on android this is not available if you are using the free version. Hopefully once they rollout for apple free users then they should consider android users as well.

Youtube has been trying to create various sources of revenue generation and it seems this is another step because now many users will prefer to pay if they like to have multi-tasking while watching videos.

Finally, it is good news for Apple users and Sunder will be able to use picture and picture mode that will allow them to have a multitasking experience while watching videos.
