What's In A Name? || Challenge Accepted || #1

Writing is not an easy task; I should know being the perfectionist that I am. Ever since I started blogging on Hive I've been struggling with this little thing called consistency and it took me way longer than it should have to "pen" something down. That's why I am taking up this 30 day challenge, to kind of "force" myself to create content, while becoming a better writer in the process.

So... Where to start? The reasoning for my blogs name?

First of, my first name's Tanja, which is a diminutive of the Russian name Tatjana, which is derived from the Roman cognomen Tatius, which in turn means “title of honor” (from Latin “titulus”) or that's what I have found when researching the meaning of my name.

But never asked my parents why they went with this name. The only thing I know, is that my mom wanted to use the spelling TanYa, but that my dad made a "mistake" and went with the J when registering me. I should ask them someday, the reasoning for my name. But that's for another time. I should also research my family name in the process.

But why did I go with my name as my blogs name? The answer is simple: your name is your identity, which in turn could become your trademark. When I was younger, I used to have found my name to be generic and boring and tried to come up with other creative and unique names. But as I got older (and I hope wiser) and went through the so called "growing pains", I learned to appreciate my identity.
