Movie News: Steven Spielberg and the makers of Stranger Things will film Stephen King's The Talisman

The phrase "a new adaptation of a Stephen King novel" and the last couple of years is incredibly common in the news about movies and TV series, and it seems that soon on the screens will be absolutely all the works of the "king of horrors".

But this announcement is really cool stuff. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Stephen King's novel "The Talisman" will get its own screen adaptation, and it will be worked on by the Steven Spielberg (!!!) and Duffer Brothers, creators of the cult sci-fi Netflix's series "Stranger Things".

Spielberg acquired the rights to film the novel about the adventures of a boy looking for a powerful artifact in parallel universes in 1984, but could only do it close up now.

In addition to the Duffers, Curtis Gwinn - the screenwriter of "Starnger Things" - is also involved in the project, while Netflix, Amblin Television and Paramount Television will provide funding and production facilities.

I can't help but say - I adore the original novel, and I've been following the news of attempts to film it for years, so I hope this creative tandem can pull it off with a solid 10 out of 10.
