AskLeo - What's The Best Thing You Learned With Hive?

Today is gonna be a busy day personally as I haven't found myself yet a new second hand car and will once again travel to a big city some 200 kilometers away to look for one. I might be lucky this time...

While scrolling through my tweeter feed this morning and throwing a glance on coingecko I noticed that DOGE is still ruling the market and its chart is simply atrocious. I am starting to hate this coin and its success. It has passed HIVE's dollar valuation and it's getting all the media exposure we're ever wished for.

It is still a meme and will always stay as such, no matter the tweets of Elon Musk or whoever will shill it over time. I was thinking though, besides money in my pocket that Hive has offered me over time what other valuable thing have I got from it?

Writing this post on quite a rush, I'd say that the best non monetary gift that I got from Hive has been discipline. I didn't used to be so disciplined, over three years ago. I used to postpone things that would probably never happen, leave stuff undone and not too often get out of my comfort zone.

Since I got my blog all of these have changed to a high degree. I have over three years on this blockchain and 99% of that time I managed to post two times a day on average. That's over 2,000 blog posts and a lot of discipline and dedication wrapped around them.

This blockhain and my activity around here, especially in the Leofinance community has become a priority. I'd rather skip a meal than writing a post, especially when I have a burning topic in my pocket. Crypto has impacted my life way beyond the financial side of it and it's no wonder, looking at how's expanding.

It changed my view over money, governance, interaction, technology and its impact on humanity and it has definitely gave me a purpose, in a time when purposeless was my middle name and drifted was my nick name. This blog is now a part of my life and Hive should definitely be in that top 5 cryptos by market cap...

What about you, What's The Best Thing You Learned With Hive?

Thanks for attention,
Adrian

I've come to see hive as a finance hub, more like my solace or "go to guy" when I need finacial opinion, it eventually influences my decisions. Its been more then the money for me as im a more refined human being finacially and economically

That's actually great to hear, man. As for me, I'd have to say I've recaptured my love for blogging and being a content creator that I'd lost before I came here. I now find myself writing for the sheer joy of it and to see if I can continue to hone my craft for the future.

I think the most important thing that Hive taught me was patience. It's as simple as that. What started as a oooh, I am going to make so much money thing has turned into a long term investment and over the years I have grown to be okay with that.

@acesontop sounds like a fun day ahead for you. Although, my time on the blockchain is still relatively fresh; there are countless things it done for me, but the Top 3:

1 content creation - it now has become something I look forward to than detest

  1. genuine people - online marketing on the centralized platform generates a lot of fake personas, I don’t feel that on HIVE

  2. education - oh my, there is so much I want to learn; especially about investing. This I attribute to seeing the excitement of others, but also I finally see a way to truly have long-term comfort.

Enjoy your fun day!

For me personally, I have been able to develop a skill (writing skill). I have always said it's impossible for me to learn this skill.
Till today, I am amazed of my growth so far.
Also, I have learnt a lot about cryptocurrency which has helped to reduce my fear about it.
I can now share my knowledge with others.
