Let's earn crypto and not buy it
In my town there was a regular meeting every month where people came together to talk about crypto. Unfortunately the discussions always turned around the subject: which coin should I invest in?
I once told them that I have never bought any coin with fiat money. I told them I was running faucets and earned my coins like that. They were just laughing and telling me why I would spend so much time with such activities? My answer was that crypto is for me money, why should I buy money with money. I want to earn money not to buy it with another type of money.
I was watching a video by @taskmaster4450 (Thanks for the suggestion @jongolson!). In this video he speaks about why we should keep our mind open to the fact that crypto can be earned not bought!
When people buy crypto they hope that somebody will pay them more at a later time and like that they would make a profit. This is what I call speculation. It's nothing else than to trade on forex. You buy euro and sell euro for dollars and you hope to make a profit. With this approach your view about the potential that the crypto sphere offers is simply too limited. Crypto is much more than forex!
Earn according to your skills and qualifications
The crypto world is an amazing place where you can start earning as simply as by clicking buttons and filling captchas. You can use faucets or ptc sites to earn money. This is in the reach of everyone who ownes a laptop or even a smartphone. Almost no further knowledge is necessary.
If you know how to use your creative side, you can create content on platforms like Hive or Lbry and you will earn more. This is more qualified work and you will need to master your own language and maybe also the tools that you will need to create.
Maybe you are an amazing game player and you can find a blockchain game where you excell and earn from there.
You might find your own niche to generate an income with crypto. The possibilites are quite without limits.
A potential income for anybody in the world
When you look at this, crypto offers an amazing potential to earn money for anybody in the world. This might be the path to a basic income for everybody on the planet. You can generate an income without needing qualifications, work contracts or comitmments. You just do what you can do and what you want to do. On your path you have the possibility to evolve. You can develop your knowledge and increase your qualifications and your income.
So let's not buy crypto, let's earn it!

The day when we will receive a salary in crypto will come... And you are right, we are exchanging currencies when we are "buying" Bitcoin or other cryptos... That's not an investment...

The great thing about crypto is that you can earn them and then later what you earned can work for you... This isn't really possible in the fiat economy. But you know that already ;-)

I think that such a change in our mindset (from investing to earning) can give us a totally new perspective of the crypto world. There is so much to be done to earn in better ways and in more efficient manners. In addition I believe that here on the Hive blockchain, people are aware of it and we have therefore a kind of edge over everybody else who is still blocked in the investment perspective.

We have a great opportunity to earn cryptocurrency. You're not inventing your fiat money, but here you are investing your time and effort to create content. And there's an opportunity cost. If you are not making videos here, you can use that time to do something else to make money.
I think blockchain is the next thing and it will get more exposure day by day. I'm here for the long term. And super happy to be in touch with like-minded people. :)
With the industrial revolution 4.0, there are a lot of jobs who are going to disapear because of automatation. There will be a need for people to make some money when they don't get a salary anymore. The cryptosphere is the place for them to get an alternative way to make a living.
That's a great mindest and I hope we can help each other on this path ;-)
