I have learnt over the years that instead of working all my life towards retirement, I can instead live a life of retirement. It was that time that I realised this that I officially "retired". I still went to work, but I disconnected from the pre-existing system that I signed up for automatically by virtue of being born into a society. My life right now is pretty alternative compared to what I thought it would be like when I was younger, and I love it.

A little sleep, a little slumber, and poverty shall come upon you like a wanted man.

and I suppose you are earning the whole process? i will say I am doing something similar but on a smaller scale and It has been fulfilling.
