Focus on quality and mindfulness - impact on the community

Hello,

the past days, I've been thinking about development. Development in general, the community development and last but not least, my development.

I like leofinance.io, especially because of the engaged community. This engagement sometimes is genuine and sometimes is not. Why do I say this? Because we have the leo stats on Monday, with a lot of good metrics that show the increase of all the values. One of the criteria is the number of comments, the higher, the better as there is more interaction. This is good, but sometimes faces the danger of turning into something that we try to avoid. The tipping point between quality comments and quantity comments. Even if I don't succeed every time, I try to comment with a topic related to the post. For this I need to read the post as a whole, digest it and than write a comment.

There have been two posts this week that made me think a lot, one was from @edicted, that can be read in here and one was from @bozz, that can be read in here.

Let's go to @edicted one. It was in trending, also one of the biggest paying posts during this week. It had few comments, but most of them tried to comment based on the title or the images. Some of those have just been spam in hope to get a vote. I had the urge to flag at least the last two of them for their ignorance.

The post is a real personally story, that at least for me would have been hard to tell. His posts are good, sometimes so good that comments are not needed.

Here would be my first topic, quality. We shall try to publish at least some kind of learning or shared knowledge in our posts, as if a person that reads it, becomes a little wiser or knowledgeable after that. Of course, it can be a also a personal story so that we know each other as not forget the personal or social part of our being in here.

If we place a comment, it shall be related to the post, either if it is a question, an opinion or a further discussion on the topic. It has not to be long, but it has to be somehow relevant. Some thoughts behind them. This will improve also our SEO, as the bots and the AI is already able to check if the comments are relevant somehow. Yes, we are in the age of machine learning, and this machines learn fast. Some are almost able to pass the Turing test, which makes them more intelligent than a lot of humans.

I know, it is fine to get attention and to compete with taskmaster (not tagged for a reason, as he reads it nevertheless), but we shall try to compete also with the quality that he delivers. Just read the comments. They are gold, opinions are solid. Don't need to agree to them, which is even better, as it opens the possibility of debate, interaction and communication. This are the comments we need, the genuine debate, the real talk.

So I would like to ask the ones who read, the post to drop me at a the start of the comment an answer to the following question. Do you read the post or just comment after the picture or title? Be true to yourself, as this is still a blockchain where interactions can be checked.

On the one from @bozz, we have a different one. He is still working as most of us. I do also work 10-12 hours a day, just to be able to afford the living, so I get him. He feels the pressure of work which is also here translated. He is a top guy, giving back, sometimes more than he gets and a true believer in crypto, even if he did not hit any small jackpot on his journey.

We are in here to build up, of course, but if this takes a tool on our well-being we shall take a brake. If we fill that we don't want to comment or interact over a period of time, it is fine, take that brake. The come back would be much more enjoyable. Also don't try to hit a certain quota of comments. Comment what you like and to the subject.

It has to be fun also as without it, it can fast turn into a hatted job, that most are running from. I believe in the potential of it and like that most people take the time to interact. When it passes midnight, I go to sleep, this is it. I have my targets, as without them we can't progress, but they are not based solely on quantity. Some target is looking like, write 5 quality comments on leo and 2 quality comments on hive. If it is a post, I need to read it whole and digest it, if it is a video, watch it till the end.

We shall stay mindful and avoid any pressure on us in here. If we are enjoying ourselves, our results will be better. Of course, we shall try to keep a standard, as only like this can the global value of leofinance.io grow.

Here comes my second question that I will want to see in the comment. Are you doing the stuff you do in here because you have to or want to? I'm still thinking on a way to compensate genuine comments that will read and answer accordingly. After you answer the both questions, feel free to put any comment you want.

Enough with my ramble. It is just a personal view on things, on how to evolve (not saying to make things better) and to go to the next step, quality hubspot for crypto and financial information exchange with a worldwide audience. The developers are doing a tremendous good job, listening to the needs, now it is our turn to take the next steps.

To summarize, focus on genuine quality comments. Stay healthy as nobody wants you sick and last, but not least enjoy your time.

I have been trying to speed some of my little time looking for great, awesome sauce, posts to comment on. I have been having no where near the amount of engagement as I want. So to answer your first question, I read before I comment.

As to the second question, I am here because I want to be. Got here because of @jongokson and #ctptalk back in August 2019. Best thing that happened to me online.

The struggle of offline job, family that are number one in life, keeps, as I said above, what I would like to be able to do online to a minimum.

But I try to make the most of it. And reading a post like this one gives me inspiration.

Thank you.

@bradleyarrow, thank you for your comment and that you have taken the time to read my post. You've just got yourself a new follower. If you mention the big guy and that he brought you in here, it is another plus point from me. Have met him 2 years ago in Poland.

The struggle of offline job, family that are number one in life, keeps, as I said above, what I would like to be able to do online to a minimum.

Feel you. Family is for me no. 1,that is why I wake up everyday to grind.

I want to ask you to check the two post mentioned, real life from to real people.

Thank you, Bradley, for stopping by!

I just started getting active in my comments. For awhile I didn't do a lot of commenting unless I knew the person or they talked to me first. Now I just kind of comment on everything because it helps support the community and helps motivate new accounts that are looking to build their following and engagement.
`
For the most part if I don't feel like I have a quality comment, I wont force it. Every once in awhile I might drop a 1 or 2 liner just as an acknowledgement of the post or way to say "Hey I was here, and read your awesome post".

Do you read the post or just comment after the picture or title?

I generally read the post. Occasionally I'll drop a comment without reading all the way through. Most times though I read 90$ or more of the post.

Are you doing the stuff you do in here because you have to or want to?

I've always done this because I wanted to do this. I've preached the gospel of have fun and just treat it like any other social network you're involved with. If you're being yourself and having fun it's going to show in your posts and it will be reflected in your rewards and engagement.

Thanks for the reply and the openness.

Anyone who calls himself dood, shall be a fun person to stick around. Also your comments fit to the post, even if they are one liners. One word that fits to the post is better than a novel that is way off.

Thanks again, you got yourself a new follower.

I am glad that you were able to connect with my post. I have taken a lot of your advice to heart and I think you made some really good points. It has been hard, but I have really been more selective the past couple of days about my comments. It is going to be an ongoing process to return to that balance.

Like said, do what you can as it shall be a pleasure in here, not another side job. I know, I know, it is a nice hustle, I'm hustling to, no one said something else, but we shall focus on our health to!

Well your publication made me think a lot about the way I give comments as sometimes they can be spam, so I will follow your advice to read the publication until the end, watch the video until the end, digest it and give an excellent comment. Since this is the right way to interact.
