New ATH - when will the cycle end?

Hi,
this week, or better said today, we had new ATH for the top3 coins on the marketcap value. This is huge! We see the prices going up steadily, with some pull-backs now and then, but they go up in the end. Everybody, me included was afraid of February and March, but nothing bad happened as in the previous years, when these two months have been the worst for crypto on a yearly basis.
Now, we didn't have this major corrections. It might be that we have a totally new economy, which has been reshaped with the events from the past year, where digitalization has gained a lot in terms of technology advancement and acceptance. The same happened with crypto, it has got a broader acceptance on the market, not only on personal users, but also on institutions.
Will we see a new big correction soon? With bigger institutional investors buying out the liquidity from the market, and with a money printing press all over the world, unlikely to see in the next few months a cycle end. Of course there can happen a black swan event, where the market collapses, but given the circumstances we have today, where money that is printed is put in directly into crypto, which is a limited resource, unlikely to see a big drop.
This market cycle could be different from the others, where the drops have been significant. There is not enough liquidity on the market at the moment to have a massive drop and if it drops, the big guys will buy just cheaper and readjust the price.
The evolution of this happening would be interesting to see at the next 30% market drop. Will we have one this year? Probably, but we shall watch very carefully who is selling and who is buying as there might be some market manipulation.
I wait drops and think they are good opportunities to infuse the portfolio with more crypto. Like the saying: what is better than crypto and the answer is more crypto.
We will see some new ATH in the next weeks and months, where ETH can be a good surprise for most. With the fast development around, it can reach also at least the 10k mark and BTC the 100k and that this cycle is going to last longer than expected.

I think the cycle will last longer and I have no clue when it will end. But given that we did not have many pull backs, I expect the the correction after the bull market to be very harsh. Why? Because the people who got in now will not have experienced the huge drop and those institutional people are always stampeding to get out of the door first.

don't you think things are different now? i think the crypto industry is matured a little. yes there is still a lot of dumb money but things look different now. i don't foresee a mess dump.

I don't think things will be different. We are currently in a bull market so we may still go up quite a bit before we hit the bear market phase. When people keep seeing the price drop day after day, they will give up.

We shall see. It is important how the USA, China and India act. Crypto might be use for financial pressure by each of the 3 mentioned.

Yes it will be interesting to see how India in particular will act. They are probably be the first one to take action but I keep hearings about whether or not they will ban crypto.

I think if they get some more ETF's for 401k and IRA the prices will do alot more pumping. There is just so much demand with money that is currently not able to buy in.
I am struggle with seeing how ETH can keep going higher when it costs a stupid amount to do anything. I know there is great hope the new upgrade will fix most of that but its is hard for me to get on board until then.

It surely seems it is booming slowly but steadily !
It is weird to think that prices have skyrocketed but I do not feel the craze of the 2017 Bull Market.
Which makes me believe we might go a little higher before « the big correction ».

It crazy how long Bitcoin has been consolidating in the 58 - 60 K area. Nobody knows how long this will continue but a blow-off top will be one of the signs.

I listened to a trader on twitter and his expectation is that this cycle will probably take about 750+ days from the bitcoin halving to the top of the cycle, and that would bring us to September 2022. I don't remember the exact numbers ... but the first cycle was about 300+ days from the Bitcoin halving to the top of that Bitcoin cycle, the second one took about 500+ days from the Bitcoin halving to the top of that cycle ... and that brought him to believe this cycle could go for 750+ days, which will bring us over to September 2022.
I thougt his explanation did make sense, a lot of sense. Not saying that he has to be right, it's crypto after all. And there are many things that can influence the markets. But for now I'm a sort of confident that this will last for a while now.

I hope it will take this time, but we will have major corrections in the cycle. And that's not something I'm looking forward to, but those are also needed to keep the cycle going I guess ..

well i will just wait out the next market correction. things are looking too good to be honest. something has to give. looking forward to a 20% pullback so I can put my busd to good use. that aside I think we are currently experiencing a beautiful time in the crypto sphere.

I look forward to these new ATHs and more explosive growth in cryptos generally. I think that the peak might be somewhere around August to December. But who knows? It might come before then.
