Rewarding engagement

last week, in this post, I've announced that I will pick up randomly 3 people that comment and award them 1 CUB each. It needs to be on CUBdefi.com, else it is pointless.

I've seen some people that offer some good prizes on a regular basis for engagement. I won't do that. I will just do it fully randomly, hiding an announcement somewhere in the post, where the ones that read and pay attention can find it. I see we have some high interaction lately, where I will try to reward the quality one. Mindless comments not to the post might win some nice prizes also.
Wen #projectblank will arrive, we will have a big influx of users, and we will need to try to have a high retention rate on the quality users. Clearly, anyone can change, but sometimes it is not worth the effort.
#Projectblank will change the way we act in here and will probably boost the wallets of many of us, like the CUBs did, so why not keep it tidy from now on.
Nevertheless, as I mentioned that there are some users that have regular giveaways, I would be thankful, if you live a comment which directs me to this users.

I think new users from projectblanck will stay around for the rest of the bull run, when the bears come most of them will bounce. Just like we see on Hive.

Unfortunately many people do not have long term perspective with Hive. They just want to grab quick money and go. Most people on Hive just write their own posts, and wait for the rewards. They do not (or rarely) comment under other people's posts. This is why the real, human comments are rare on the Hive blockchain.
I was one of those people while the bear market was going strong. I spent a lot of BTC buying steem when Hive wasn't a thing yet, after that the value just kept going lower and lower and so did my motivation. I stoped reading, posting or commenting I just used my SP / HP to vote and earn rewards.
Luckily 2021 brought the wind back into my sails. If Hive ever goes to $1 I'm sure the engagement will go trough the roof! Everyone will comeback / join
This is the problem. People are linking the success of Hive (and even the activity) to its monetaty value. Instead they should bring something valuable to Hive to make the price go up.
Using the freedom of speech, and taking advantage of the censorship resistant nature of the Hive blockchain could lead to the success of the Hive blockchain. Long term content preserving is also a valuable part of the Hive blockchain. But people are so focused on the money that they forget the values behind this blockchain.
Everything is started with the bad marketing of Steemit. The money earning opportunity. With this approach, Hive will not be a real competitor of Facebook, nor of any other social networks.
Yey congrats to the winners. 😋 Getting cubs is pretty good as a present since it takes a lot time to harvest 1 cub. :)
