LEO Challenge: What Can I Buy The Area I Live In with $1?

image.png

The value of one dollar in each country and region varies. I am interested in making a post about what I can buy for a dollar.

The initiative is from @fabian98, check HERE.

Indonesia has a wide variety of regions and has very significant differences in economic value in the capital city and other cities.

Salary values differ in different regions of Indonesia, but unfortunately, the prices of basic commodities are not much different in different regions. This is why it is difficult for people to live in other than the capital to be prosperous.

So to survive, usually growing our food ingredients is quite useful for us here.

Let us return to the discussion of what can I buy for 1 Dollar in the area I live in.

The following are some of the options I can buy for 1 Dollar:

  • I kg of rice, $0.9
  • 12 eggs, $ 0.96
  • 1 Kg of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Kg of Sugar
  • 1 Kg of Potatoes
  • 3 Kg of Sweet Potatoes
  • 18 Blocks of Tofu with Small Shape
  • 3 large blocks of Tempeh
  • 1/2 Kg of Chicken

Those are some of the staples that we often buy here. Tofu and tempeh are popular side dishes for consumption because of the reasonable price and also quite nutritious.

How about you? What are the popular side dish ingredients in your country that you can buy for 1 Dollar?

In my country Myanmar, the prices of CP chicken is 1$ per kilo and Bio Chicken is 2.2 $ per kilo.

1/2 KG of Chicken is 1$ in your post.
Is it CP or Bio?

It is true that food prices vary from country to country. Whether $1 is a lot or a little is debatable. In our modern world, some countries are unfortunately still at the point where they lack the basic goods of humanity that the modern world is used to.

I think this sharing of information about what we can buy with $ 1 is very valid. We can see how much some things are quite different in certain countries.

I am very surprised with some food there.

Besides, we have appreciated every food because in another country maybe it will be an expensive thing

I became more grateful for people to read many entries. $1 can be big means or small in every country but with Blockchain especially with Our Leo, we have some value here and support each other. We can earn big values more than the value of money in general.
