[ESP-ENG] Reto "Cómo es Vivir en Hiperinflación" // Challenge "What is it like to live in Hyperinflation"
¡Hola amigos financieros!
Hello financial friends!
After several days without posting in the @leofinance community, today I'm back, with the intention of participating in the challenge of the friends of @rutablockchain, who touch the point of hyperinflation for this challenge. If you want to join, you just have to enter this publication.
Hyperinflation has become a critical situation for everyone, especially for Venezuelans who struggle every day to find food to eat, having to go out to the streets to see what they can get.
In this publication, I will write about some important points of hyperinflation, which as we know, consists in the increase of prices.
// What is the hardest part of living in hyperinflation?
As time goes by, the hyperinflation in my country Venezuela increases enormously, where we see some people knocking on the door of the apartment to ask for food, others go out to the street to sing on the buses and others ask for shoes or money to buy something to eat. It is frustrating the situation in my country. About two weeks ago I gave two pairs of unused shoes and some green cholas to some elderly people who came begging to the house, in order to take them to the neediest children of a foundation that is in the invasion of the Bridge, specifically in Monagas, Venezuela. That day, I gave the shoes and the cholas to the man who knocked on the door of my apartment. After a while, my mother arrived from the church and I told her: "Look, give him some shoes and the green cholas". She replied: "If that was in your heart, God will bless you son".
¿Qué has aprendido de esta situación? // What have you learned from this situation?
2020, was a complicated year, where I was able to take advantage of income opportunities and new jobs in my life. One of those was working in radio (93.5 FM) and I worked as a soccer writer for the Monagas State Soccer Association (Christmas Cup). Currently, I am working at 93.5 "La Gran FM", as an announcer. Besides, I know I am not a brain in this technology, but every day I try to learn from those experienced in the field. Also, I have learned not to depend on the dollar, but on my hard work, which will lead me to success. Learning from this difficult situation has made me understand and focus on my future. New opportunities are coming in 2021.
// What was the trigger for hyperinflation in your country?
I am not an expert in politics, but I can tell you that when Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías was there, some food products could be bought and a good market could be made for a week. The items at an accessible and economic price, the center with many people and many people buying clothes for December 24 and 31. Now, with Nicolás Maduro everything changed, he keeps promising "a stable economy" since years ago, deceiving the Venezuelan citizens with the bonos and talking more lies than truths. The Venezuelan people (more than all the grandparents), are still blind and do not realize what they go through every day to get a kilo of rice and the sacrifice they have to make. It cannot be, that I earned more than the teachers, just by creating content in Hive.
// What advice would you give to a foreigner who is about to start experiencing hyperinflation in his country?
Now, when a foreigner begins to live a hyperinflation, the first thing would be to have a savings in dollars, cryptocurrency, euros (€), others. No bolivars, since it devalues completely. I highly recommend creating a Bitcoin account to have money that we can count on for the future, where emergencies may arise along the way.
// How HIVE and Leofinance help people living in hyperinflation?
Finally, we reach the point where HIVE and Leofinance help us to understand more about technology and place us in a learning stage, where every day there are more opportunities for Venezuelans, in order to help us with this hyperinflation, which makes us go crazy, wondering: "What are we going to eat today". Hive, is presented as a platform that helps you to pay your economic expenses, to improve your writing skills, to make good friends and forget about what is happening in the news world of the country and the most important thing is that you keep creating nice and good quality content. This hyperinflation, gives us all to understand that we should not fall asleep, but look to a friend for a recommendation about extra income, to buy food. On the other hand, Leofinance, help us to save from Hive Engine from Tokens that can be converted to Hive and HBD. In my case, I'm raising some money for a phone and a few other things. So, Hive and Leofinance, they help us all tremendously, you just have to be consistent and patient.
Something I would like to tell you in closing
A week ago, I sold 2 HBD, to get a cash advance of one thousand bolivars, which will be used starting this Monday, when I go to the radio. I say this, because in my urbanization (la gran victoria), many bodegas sell 100% cash. It is unfortunate, as we are hurting ourselves, due to the hyperinflation that exists in Venezuela, where it is better to buy food in cash, than by the point. Crazy thing.

Saludos.
Espero y puedas unirte, amiga.
