Famous Author and Trader Nassim Taleb Ditches Coinbase

Nassim Nicholas Taleb is a very well-known author and former trader. You've probably heard of his core books and teaching principles regarding Black Swan financial events, antifragility and more.

I've heard a few of his talks at various conferences relating to crypto and I'm always impressed by his ability to apply time-tested principles to the world of cryptocurrency.

Coinbase - whom I just posted about earlier; have a tendency to get bad publicity.

In many cases, bad publicity is often a misunderstanding or misrepresentation of a tech company that is actually just trying to innovate.

In Coinbase's case, they deserve all the bad publicity they get. They may have started out as a people-oriented exchange but now they are no better than your average bank. Spying on customers, horrible customer service, continuous "outages" and more..

The case against using Coinbase is stacking up higher and higher and now Taleb has thrown his hat into the ring and told Coinbase to F off.

Their exchange is terrible. they have high fees. They have outages on high volume BTC days. They spy on customers... What more do they have to do to win everyone's disfavor?

That is a serious public hit. But I think it is fair to ditch a service which no longer serves you
