Can entertainment be an income source?

avatar

Blockchain provides enormous opportunities to explore. Basic income to everyone is one of the hot topics. Many countries tried implementing it and some failed and some countries were able to achieve a little on that. But another trending topic is to generate income from entertainment. We all look for entertainment apart from the regular job we do. Imagine if we can keep doing entertainment and keep getting revenue for the same.

Yes, the world is moving in that direction. There are many options available these days to generate some decent income by just playing games. This would have not been a possibility in the real world but in the blockchain world, this is definitely a possibility. Not just one game but there are multiple games that not only give entertainment to us but also provide a passive income.

How great it is if we can focus on entertainment all day and keep earning for our real life. Some of the notable games that provide such earning opportunities on Hive are as follows:

1) Rising Star

This game is available for everyone. There is no initial investment required to play this game. Anyone can play this game and based on the starbits accumulated inside the game anyone can progress further in the game. If you want quick results in terms of progressing in the game additional investments can be made. The more cards we have in the game the more starbits we can earn from the game.

2) Splinterlands

This is one of the most played games on Hive. Unlike Rising Star people cannot start playing this game for free. Initial investment is required to get the basic cards we need in the game to get started. But there are daily quest rewards and season end rewards that would increase our earning potential. The game progress is purely based on how powerful our cards are. But every investor gets equal returns based in how much they have invested.

3) Cryptobrewmaster

The game is still in the alpha stage but it also provides both entertainment as well as earning opportunities. During the early days, the game used to provide lots of returns but when it was identified that people were exploiting the system, there were many restrictions introduced. I believe once all the basic features in the game are ready, people will get enormous opportunities and fun.

4) dCity

This is again an investment game. There is nothing here for the players to play. The gameplay is in such a way that people invest in the game NFTs and earn passive income from the investment. Many people have already got their investment back and the returns are going to continue forever. It is more like investing once and reaping profit forever from the game. Games like this come with different options where only investment generates passive income and there is nothing for the players to spend time every day and play.

Though I play only the above 4 games mostly, there are also quite a few games available on Hive making this place a good income source from gaming. If you have enough time, you can explore all these games.

It is an excellent option to obtain profits, especially in games where no initial investment is required.

Yeah, some games require some initial investment but if we invest more, the returns from the games are high. There are many people who have already got their investment back by playing these games. So investing is also good.

You are right investing is good, and if it is a reliable system there is no problem in doing it.

I play dcity but of the other games I am not yet excited.

I saw that you didn't put rabona, haven't you tried?

I have not tried Rabona yet. I'm not much fond of sports games. You can give other games a try. Hope it is exciting for you. Thanks for the comments. Cheers!

Although I'm not into any of these games I agree, entertainment can be a source of income and there are many living big time out of that.

I'm playing some of the games you mentioned. I'm not getting rich (yet), but it's fun and with playing Candy Crush you don't earn anything at all 😉

Yeah, we cannot get rich drastically but it does help compared to other games that are exciting but don't give any income.

In among all Splinterlands is my first choice followed by the risingstar...
I was estimating the worth of my Splinterlands collection and I was amazed to know that collectively it is mire then 2k$... one of the best game on blockchain...

Yeah, that's great. I agree with you. But in my case, I couldn't spend enough time playing Splinterlands. But I do have a good profile and have been using Team Share to get some passive income.

What kind of entertainment are we talking here?
Entertaining yourself? No, sorry. Where would the money come from?
Playing a game that entertains someone else? OK, why not? The concept has been here for centuries, the blockchain is surely another gateway but it is hardly something that is not possible outside as you claim.

You have to explore a little bit of information about these things. I will take your comment positively but if you through some thoughts and try reading some blogs to understand how this works, then you will understand. Cheers!

LOL, you picked up a wrong guy to patronize.
I do not ask the questions to learn. I have spent enough time in gaming to know the answers and I am asking them to make anyone reading a shallow analysis think more deeply.
I mean, "Where does the money come from?" is not a broad question. You can either give a decent answer in one paragraph, or admit it breaks the house of cards your article builds. Pick either.

Of course I am trying to be positive, I have a big respect for your work in the field you know better than I do. (BTW, could you make Kanibot aggregate the messages when I sell/send hundreds of dCity cards at once?). I would not bother to leave the comment if I did not. No offense meant (and none taken from your reaction).

You have to try out other games as well. It is fun. I guess in the future there would be lots of similar games emerging on Hive.

Yeah, it also creates lots of opportunities. Different ways for people to earn. Not everyone has to be a blogger to earn from this platform.
