Did you book your profits today on Ethereum?

avatar

Today ETH had been the talk of the town. Even though Bitcoin is holding tight below 40k, today ETH crossed 1400 and is quite stable there. Many people used this opportunity to book profits. One of my friends told me that he sold all his Ethereum today and also he would be buying it back when the price drops again.

This is really a great thought. For any trader that is how things work. I have not been very lucky in this game but I have seen many people playing this sell and buy the game. Whenever I accumulate some hopes and sell my holdings, it would always be that the price pumps after that and never reaches the same price again. Similar to when I decide to purchase something, the price would always fall and that is how I ended up purchasing my XRP at around 2$ and sitting with 30 cents today.

Well, I will leave it to the best traders who rely on their trading skills. Investment has worked out well for me. It either gives me a direct passive income or some kind of income in the long run. I make sure my efforts are not wasted fully.

Is it a good price to sell Ethereum?

Some experts say that there is a high possibility that the price of ETH would easily cross 1500 and would tank beyond that easily. There is also another group of people who strongly believe in Polkadot which is expected to be ETH killed. Maybe in the short term, ETH can be a great thing but in a long run, it is expected that Polkadot would come up with so many projects with proper decentralization. This is just a prediction but who knows how the future would be.

If I were an ETH holder, I would have sold my holdings at the current ATH and would have been patient to see the next correction to purchase back. The most annoying factor with Ethereum is the gas fees so when we try to make profits from trading it is also necessary to keep the gas fees in mind and make sure we are profitable after deducting the gas fees. So in my opinion, I would be happy to sell ETH at the current price and be happy with the profit I can get from it.

Long term ETH goals

If you are someone holding ETH for the long term, there is also a possibility that ETH can reach at least 5000 USD in the future when BTC is pumping even further. When BTC was initially at 600 USD, nobody believed it would even cross 1000 USD. But today look at the price. More the use case people now consider it pride to hold some BTC and ETH.

I personally feel that it is better to keep a little for the long term and sell the remaining to book profits. Nobody can predict the actual price. What if ETH reaches 5000 USD and we all miss the opportunity.

Booking profit, then your friend is sure that it is ETH peak. I am not against it but do not close the position completely in strong coins.

Yeah true. I guess he is waiting to buy back when it goes down again which is already slowly happening I guess. ETH is not very strong today. !BEER

I sold 2 ETH I had. I had to make sure I have my initial investment back. Now, the rest will be there as free money and I don't need to worry about the price point.

Trading is not my cup of tea...
Some people book the profit as the price is at ATH....

Same here as well. I did not find it comfortable to trade and book decent profits. Whenever I buy, the price dumps and whenever I sell price pumps.

I don't understand how it is possible that Ethereum is worth so much ... it's a blockchain that hasn't worked for more than a year .. making transactions on ETH has become totally inconvenient

There are many smart contracts that runs on ETH. But at the end of the day it is all marketing and popularity.

By the way ETH had been there since the begining. It is not something that came in the last one year. It is also considered to be one of the native cryptocurrencies and that also adds to it.

Thanks for reply... You are right, it must be considered that Ethereum was one of the first coins, also the first to introduce smart contracts
