Another postage stamp from Series History of Russian Aircraft, issued in the USSR in 1977, gave me a reason to smile, and even a reason to laugh.

The fact is that this postage stamp very clearly shows the essence of the communist system of the Soviet Union, which shouted that they were the best in the world, the first in everything.

This postage stamp features the first long-range all-metal bomber TB-1 (ANT-4).

In all history textbooks, one could read that this was the first aircraft built in the USSR, which flew between Moscow and New York, thereby showing the greatness and superiority of the Soviet Union over the lagging, capitalist worlds.

It's funny, nowhere was it mentioned that the engines of this aircraft, this is a BMW child, the chassis were made by Swedish Junkers, the weapons and lighting systems were Michelin and Zeisse.

During the flight, it was not without "Russian cunning", in other words, without rigging.

Two aircraft were produced with identical serial numbers of the main components.

And, indeed, it came in handy, because the first plane did not reach New York, crashing in the taiga.

The second plane, as insurance, was able to do this, but not without incident.

If we restore historical justice, this flight is a merit of many countries, whose technologies made it possible to do this.

On the wings of the plane we see the inscription USSR, but it should look like a racing car, on which you can see the emblems of all sponsors of the project, lol.

Even the postage stamp is very pompous. Oset lithography with a notch, as on banknotes, gives this postage stamp additional weight.
