DCity of falling angels is covered in an evil mist

More than five weeks have passed since I have started my journey into DCity with an investment of $500 and a lot of hope for the better. In the beginning the days were shining and everything went great and I was on track with my return on the investment and everything came steady. It felt like an angel was smiling upon my DCity and the citizens were living a wealthy and fulfilling life. But as angels lift themselves to the sky, they can easily fall in the same way and with the same speed. And the DCity economics started to decline abruptly and more than 50% of my gains were washed away...

It is hard to resist to this game as it attract you with the power of a great city in the making and simply making a God out of you as you start building all around and decide the destinies of your citizens. Once you start investing in, it is quite hard to stop and you want more and more building, more and more citizens and more and more income. With all this positive energy and enthusiasm I have stepped into the DCity with an investment of $500 and started shape a new metropola around. Building were growing everywhere and the city was expanding with the speed of live and was generating more than 35 Hive a day. In addition to this other tokens where coming in day after day - ENTRY tokens to participate in Splinterlands tournaments, WEED tokens for getting high and selling some for the profit and daily rewards by being one of the top cities in this ecosystem. Everything was going fine and the plan was unfolding as it was designed.

Until one day when the DCity shows its face and became a falling angel. The citizens felt a cold whisper all over the city and the lords imposed great taxes that will make their living at the limit. Just living one day at a time and thinking if tomorrow will be worse has made the city standing still. The money that was entering the gates of the city at some point with big enthusiasm simply stopped and everyone felt that a financial crisis was floating in the air. The income declined to more than 50% and got to a faded 15 HIVE per day. There is an evil mist over the DCity and the angels have fallen.

But there is still a light burning in the DCity and there is hope for better times to come. But this is only if new technology and development will get into the city and money start coming in back to grow new businesses. We cannot stay still for too long as the world will forget about us and about a city that once was the DCity of Angels. The belief and trust is still burning and will remain into the DCity until the end and hope for a better living. Do you think it will come...? How long will these taxes knock on our door day after day...? Only the Gods know.

We all have ups and downs like the price of SIM. DCity is still running, but the inflation is a killer. It still has a decent return, given the circumstances.

What I would suggest you is to wait some days of selling SIM, just till you hit the 30 day average of holding 8000 SIM, as this will give you another small bonus in HIVE, which can improve your ROI.

I was thinking of that as well, although I am not sure about the amount of Hive will be distributed for such holders. I thought that it might be too little....

It is little, for a city with 10k holdings I get 0.022 Hive/day. At the current price it blocks 10k SIM which are recovered in 740 days, which is roughly 50% ROI for a blocked asset..

I'm definitely hearing a lot more lately about the declining incomes of our DCities... I think this is partly due to the low SIM price. The last day or two seems to have softened the fall and I'm hoping that continues. I'm still building my city and my income (although it is not nearly as large as yours).

Maybe there is some hope on this one as if the project continues to develop it might still thrive. But the silence that we've been accustomed for so long, it starts to show off and impact the ecosystem.

Ever since I got into this game I am Always re investing. It's such an addictive game if you'll ask me.

Presently with earning 58 Sim daily with 215 population, which I hope to increase soon maybe when the taxes is reduced.

I was so shocked😲 some days ago when I saw a 70% tax, which is currently at 50% now. This is a strategy that won't favout the new users planning to join as they'll see it as a censored game with huge taxes. Hope trumpman will emerge as the next president, as he should be able to restore the fallen angel back to where it is and even fly high.

Indeed it is hard not to want to build up. Hopefully things will get better, we need an earthquake to bring more developments into the space.

Well, this is what I expected to happen that's why I did a small investment enough to have at least ~150 in daily SIM.

I know, it's sad but I'm playing just for fun.

I have no idea what happened. I am not on Discord lately and have been missing the conversations. What's the issue for the SIM price decline? I though players were joining in on flock.
