Tweaking some settings on LEO Finance and enjoying some new features released
I've just completed a new staking of all my liquired LEOs and not I have reached 2,724.445 LEO Powered. My votes value started to increase a little bit and as I spread them on Posts and Comments, I'll be tweaking a little bit the percentages used in each of the case. Until now I was always upvoting 100% but seeing the improved dynamics for the comments and the involved of the others in this direction, I will use 50% Power vote for comments and will keep 100% Power vote for posts.
To set different Voting Power for Posts and Comments we need to go to LEO Finance -> Settings and we'll see two options there. Simply set the desired values and hit the Save button to preserve the settings after that.
- Default Vote Weight for Posts: 100
- Default Vote Weight for Comments: 50.
Some other nice thing that I have observed and where we have different settings is the Payout Display. Now we have several options to choose from and I prefer the one with both LEO and USD at once. The available options are the following ones, with the remark that on Hovering over the rewards you might be presented additional information:
- LEO only
- USD only
- Both LEO and USD
What it would be really cool to see the lion head being colored for the posts that were paid of and to remain transparent for those that aren't yet. This would be a nice touch to distinguish between the two states of payouts and would be visible without the user needing to hover over the rewards in order to get more info. Maybe someone reading this will take into consideration.
Another touch that I have observed is the Voting Power bar which is right under the user and is slick and nice. This way you don't need to use any other third party to see how you are doing on the Voting Power and not to let it lose in vain. It is great to see such little things being added to the interface, it evolves incrementally and this agile approach to getting things done really delivers.

Hi, indeed some are still to be discovered :) These are just those I have discovered while doing my routing on LEO Finance and picked my eye, although I feel like I am discovering those as little gems spread around the site. That could be a great marketing approach by letting the users find the hidden features on their own :)

If you noticed, the last few posts have been "after the fact". The Leofinance account will announce them after they are out. But they are rolling out on a periodic basis without anything being said.
It is up to the users to find them. There are about 3 more that I am aware of that you missed.

On the mobile version I'm using on Brave you don't get to see those rewards details, but the bar is here. Getting now on my laptop to see all the goodies and post something.

Interesting stuff like this keep me excited, I don't think ive ever considered using that settings tab till now and I must confess that I like the new options there, I even chose the option that will let me see post rewards in both Leo and USD. Lol.
