More mainstream interest in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash

if you keep up with world football, then you probably have seen or heard about Rakuten. Prior to Barcelona's shirt deal with them, I would have never seen the name of the company. Data shows that the Spanish La Liga is quite huge in Japan, so it only makes sense that one of the biggest companies in the Asian country partners with the Spanish giants.

Rakuten is a crypto-friendly retail giant that has taken its immense bullishness about crypto to the next level by throwing its weight behind Bitcoin, BCH and ETH for now.

According to the story, the Japanese giant that facilitates payments for customers to companies like McDonald's and Seiyu to mention a few, have decided to simplify purchases with cryptocurrencies on their wallet.

This means that users of Rakuten can simply put any of the aforementioned cryptocurrencies into their wallet and then make payments. According to the story, Rakuten will automatically convert your crypto to Yen, at no fee, and then you make payments.

Immensely bullish

Rakuten now joins companies like Binance, and Crypto.com to enable everyday use of cryptocurrencies.

For Rakuten, it is a wallet app that holds your Bitcoin and can be used for purchases, while on Binance and crypto.com, you get a debit card.

It is refreshing to see the growing interest in cryptocurrencies. Most of the big boys are focused on Bitcoin at the moment but that's okay. Some of that value will eventually trickle down into alts, and just like Elon Musk proved with Doge, there's a lot of potential in numerous projects making big moves.

Just like sportsbet.io that are shirt sponsors of Southampton and partners with my favourite team, Arsenal, Rakuten is now technically a crypto company.

It is good publicity for crypto as a whole and I'm sure that more companies will be promoted through sports. That's why I'm bullish about Sports talk, and all it takes is some bumps in SEO to get it more attention.

I don't know the amount of paperwork and bureaucratic stuff that will be required to strike a deal like that, but I reckon it should be possible.

Can you imagine how awesome it would be if we actually strike a deal with a mainstream team that will put our logo on their advertising boards or even on their jersey?

Having another major institutional company to use crypto is a just another additional free attention toward the crypto community. More over after it linked up with Giant Football team, the biggest sport.
