Internet Scams; Dirty Business | Estafas en Internet; Un Negocio sucio

It's not a secret or a novelty that nowadays there are many ways to generate a few and/or even many dollars through the internet, in fact it is one of the advantages and one of the things we do here at Hive. Although there are many other ways like translations, graphic design, creating your web page, trading cryptos, PTC (Paid To Click) pages or some kind of work or way to earn money that you get online. Whose payments we receive through paypal, airtm, exchanges, gift cards from amazon, etc. It feels good when you get paid for your work. But many times we don't have anyone to sell the money generated through our paypal, airtm or other electronic wallet payments. So we resort to looking for other sales methods, pages where there are online buyers, and we don't see it, but a large number of buyers from those sites or pages of that type are engaged in scams. Many times we see on these sites or pages created that there are "buyers" who "pay" a good amount for the dollars generated. At least in Venezuela the dollar is quoted at a very high price, it would always be advantageous to receive a payment at the highest rate of the market. Sometimes we think we are well informed enough to fall into this, but the truth is that we are not. I'm telling you my experience, since I was once one of those who got swindled in one of those pages, I learned my lesson and I've never done it again.

Hay muchas maneras en las que pueden estafarte, estas son algunas:

• Personas que te ofrecen ofertas de descuento en comisiones al hacer las transacciones.
• Personas que te escriben amorosamente, pero con otras intenciones.
• Personas que te envían un email con referencias a páginas que generan dólares y hablan contigo hasta ganarse tu confianza para poder pasar al siguiente nivel.
• Personas que crean páginas de compra-venta de dólares en una red social, estipulan un pago más alto del promedio y crean perfiles falsos para hacer buenas recomendaciones sobre la página y hacer creer que son clientes satisfechos.
• Personas que te hacen creer
• Cientos de usuarios que le dan clic a cualquier anuncio en internet para reclamar sus premios millonarios únicamente con que proporcionen los datos de sus tarjetas bancarias.
• Páginas que ofrecen tutoriales acerca del manejo de criptodivisas, pero en realidad son sitios donde les quitan los pocos o muchos bitcoins a usuarios inexpertos.
• Hay un método en el que te envían mensajes a través del correo electronico desde otra cuenta que hacen parecer como soporte de microsoft y te hacen creer que están haciendo mantenimiento. Por lo que te adjuntan en el mismo mensaje un link que te redirige hacia la ventana donde debes colocar tu correo y contraseña. Luego de que los colocas, te redirige nuevamente a tu bandeja de mensajes. Pero tus datos quedan almacenados en una base de datos del estafador. Esto lo hacen para sustraer información de tu correo como datos bancarios, cuentas de otras plataformas donde puedan acceder haciendose pasar por ti y sustraer tu dinero, también se pueden hacer pasar por ti para estafar a tus contactos.

There are many ways you can get ripped off, here are a few:

• People who offer you discount offers on commissions when making transactions.
• People who write to you lovingly, but with other intentions.
• People who send you an email with references to pages that generate dollars and talk to you until they gain your trust so they can move to the next level.
• People who create buy-sell pages in a social network, stipulate a higher than average payment and create false profiles to make good recommendations about the page and make believe they are satisfied customers.
• People who make you believe
• Hundreds of users who click on any ad on the Internet to claim their millionaire prizes just by providing their bank card details.
• Pages that offer tutorials about the handling of crypto-currencies, but in reality they are sites where they take away the few or many bitcoins from inexperienced users.
• There is a method in which they send you messages via email from another account that make it seem like Microsoft support and make you think they are doing maintenance. So they attach in the same message a link that redirects you to the window where you should put your email and password. After you place them, you are redirected back to your mailbox. But your data is stored in a database of the scammer. They do this to steal information from your mail such as bank details, accounts from other platforms where they can access by impersonating you and steal your money, they can also impersonate you to defraud your contacts.

Mis recomendaciones para no caer en estos tipos de estafa son las siguientes:

• No desesperes a la hora de vender, recuerda que toda decisión tomada en estado de desesperación es perjudicial.
• No te fíes de esos sitios de compra-venta aunque tengan buena pinta y/o recomendaciones de otros “usuarios”, tal vez hasta son ellos mismos haciendose pasar por otras personas.
• Busca información y recomendaciones sobre sitios donde puedas cambiar tu dinero y primero asegurate de que sea confiable antes de hacer alguna negociación.
• Buscar un familiar o amigos que estén involucrados con ese tipo de trabajo para ayudarse entre sí y compartir contactos de compradores responsables a la hora vender.
• No dar por adelantado los dólares o código de gift card (tarjeta de regalo) a menos que sea un comprador de mucha confianza con el cual ya tengas buen historial de ventas.
• Asegurate de no creer en ninguno de esos mensajes que recibes en correo electronico sobre premios, ni proporcionar datos a estos correos en los cuales te quieran multiplicar tu dinero en un determinado tiempo. Ten presente que no todo lo que brilla es oro.

My recommendations for not falling into these types of scams are as follows:

• Do not despair when it comes to selling, remember that any decision made in a state of desperation is harmful.
• Don't trust those buy-sell sites even if they look good and/or have recommendations from other "users", maybe they are even pretending to be other people.
• Look for information and recommendations about sites where you can change your money and first make sure it is reliable before making any negotiation.
• Find a family member or friends who are involved with this type of work to help each other and share responsible buyer contacts when selling.
• Don't give away your dollars or gift card code in advance unless you are a very trustworthy buyer with whom you already have a good sales history.
• Make sure you don't believe any of the messages you receive in e-mails about prizes, or provide data to these e-mails in which they want to multiply your money in a certain time. Keep in mind that not all that glitters is gold.
