How are you all doing on this Wednesday? Enjoying the 52K Bitcoin pumping? Well, I am enjoying it as a investor of small amount of BTC.
Not just Bitcoin, even other coins or alt coins as we call are all doing well as well including our own Hive, Leo and CTP and that is something we we all will be happy to.
OK, time for me to explain about another Splinterlands battle for the new Weekly Challenge for SHARE YOUR BATTLE Challenge.
We got back an Alpha/Beta monster belonging to Earth Splinter and is one of the popular monsters for certain rule sets and the monster is Stonesplitter Orc.

Stonesplitter Orc is a rare Earth Splinter monster from Alpha/Beta version and is a melee attack monster which has 2 good abilities besides it's awesome stats of attack, speed and life besides it's useful armors to survive for little more time in a battle.
Let's see the detailed stats for this monster in below section.

Stonesplitter Orc is not among the most used monsters atleast after introduction of monsters like Nectar Queen and common monsters which can be good tanks and also there is Flesh Golem which, with it's healing ability, is one of the most widely used. But, Stonesplitter Orc still can be a powerful one in certain rule sets like melee mayhem or super sneak or even equal opportunity as it can be used in the middle of a lineup yet can utilize it's powerful melee attack and retaliate ability.
If we can see above stats chart, we can see that, it starts with 3 melee attack which grows up to 5 by the time this monster is leveled up to 6.
The Speed is also good enough for it starts with speed of 3 which can go another level up to 4 when it's leveled up to 4.
It also posses armors from level 1 with starting with 1 armor which can increase to 3 armors when it's leveled up to maximum level i.e. 8.
The Life starts at 4 and increases to 5 from level 2 itself and can be a max of 7 at maximum level.
Like I said above, it has 2 most useful abilities viz. Retaliate(has a chance to attack back a melee monster) and other being Enrage(increases it's speed and melee attack by 1 and half time) and when these 2 are enabled, it can be a very serious customer in any lineup.

Ok, here we are to see the details of this battle and let's starts with rule sets and MANA Cap for this battle.
This battle had 27 MANA cap and had 2 rule sets which best suites the melee attack monsters. The rule sets were Super Sneak(All melee attack monsters to attack the last monster on the lineup) and Heavy Hitters(A stunned monster receives twice the attack of normal attack).
So, with that information, let's move on to the lineup I used for this battle and also the lineup by opponent.

Lineup:

1. Flesh Golem:

image.png

Used this healing tank to keep the front position intact as most of the attack will be towards last monster on the lineup and this can keep attacking the front monster.

2. Orc Sergeant:

image.png

Used this for it's inspire ability to increase the melee attack and also to utilize it's own melee attack of 4.

3. Brownie:

image.png

Brownie is one of the most used monsters by me whenever I battle with Earth Splinter since it can inspire the monsters and can also increase the speed of all the monsters I use because of it's swift ability.

4. Creeping Ooze:

I wanted to have the advantage of attacking first and hence, used this monster which can reduce the speed of opponent's monsters to make them attack later than their usual.

5. Stonesplitter Orc:

Used this theme monster in last but one position to utilize it's melee attack as well as it's retaliate ability for this super sneak battle.

6. Lord Arianthus:

Lastly, used this no attack monster which has shield and void ability to receive lesser attack and also attack back monsters with melee attack with thorns and magic monsters with magic reflect.

Opponent used Fire Splinter with monsters Living Lava, Kobold Bruiser, Serpentine Soldier, Fire Elemental, Spark Pixies and Goblin Fireballer.

Battle:

Like I said earlier, I felt the opponent didn't prepare his lineup enough for Super Sneak battle as all his second line monsters were of lesser life and consisted mostly of ranged attack.
Here I go with round by round battle detail.

Round 1:

Opponent's usage of lesser life monsters in second line was very costly to him as he lost 5 of the 6 monsters he used in the First round itself with only Living Lava remaining, but he had consolation of removing Flesh Golem from my lineup.
Monsters which got removed from his lineup in order were: Goblin Fireballer, Spark Pixies, Serpentine Soldier, Fire Elemental and finally, Kobold Bruiser.

Round 2:

Living Lava survived all the attack from those 4 monster I had as it's a monster with shield ability and Orc Sergeant now the front monster for me was just holding it's breath with just 1 life left for it.

Round 3:

Living Lava couldn't survive further and has to go in this round giving me a comfortable win.

Stonesplitter Orc, the theme monster played an important role in this win attacking the monsters in all the 3 rounds.

Questions and Answers:

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

I thin it worked nicely and there was help from opponent as well as he lined rather low life monsters and yes, it still needed some effort for my monsters to win this battle and it was a nice one.
If I wasn't using Stonesplitter Orc, I probably, would have used Stone Golem or any other monster with shield ability as we had a super sneak battle.

Do I like the STONESPLITTER ORC? Why or why not?

I definitely like it and it was one of the most used monsters by me earlier.
But now, with Flesh Golem leveled up and we have other monsters like Nectar Queen, it's being used lesser now by me.

Line.jpg

That was more like one sided battle with lesser fight by monsters used by opponent since 5 of them got removed in round 1 itself, but still, it was a nice battle and happy to have used Stonesplitter Orc after a long time.
I hope you had some fun reading about this battle and the lineup I used.

Wishing you nice Thursday and Happy battling

Thank you for tipu curation :)

Yeah, you just re-iterated what I mentioned about opponent's rather weak lineup for Super Sneak battle :)

Have a good day sir.
