More Than A Rainy Day Fund
I think as you grow on HIVE your ideas do change quite considerably and rightly so. The potential of what we have here and the ability to earn internet money out of thin air is real.
Looking back in the beginning you have no clue what is possible as you need to learn the ins and outs. once you are over the learning bump and rewards slowly start to trickle in you have thoughts of having a rainy day fund or a back up emergency fund, but not much else. Soon that changes into the idea of having a passive income or a honey pot pension fund which is better than the average pensioner will be receiving once they retire.
Those ideas soon change yet again with the idea of actually being wealthy sometime in the future. I think this is the natural way many will think as you just don't know until you start seeing the values accumulating daily. This is all part of the HIVE journey with your account metamorphizing along the way. The numbers are staggering and mind blowing at the same time once you see the potential but it is more than that as it becomes a way of life and nothing else. In the beginning I was not driven by rewards as I had no clue what HIVE was and how was making money/crypto like this even possible?
How you see HIVE from the beginning to where you are now is quite crazy as one literally has no idea when they start out. It is not surprising why so many give up as Hive is definitely a different beast when it comes to personal challenges. This without doubt has been the hardest challenge I have ever undertaken as it never ends, once you start you are roped in for life.
I was thinking about this today as there is actually quite a bit to learn and get your head around but once through the understanding you are well on your way. The head start we have all made in understanding Hive inside and out is something others still need to accomplish.
Tackling and learning DeFi has nothing on HIVE even though I was hesitant getting involved with DeFi. That was a cinch compared to what we need to learn to succeed on HIVE and something that takes a good 6 months to fully understand. That learning is so important as knowing how the blockchain works should be a priority as the wealth that will be generated will be massive off the charts stuff.
Maybe we all underestimate our capabilities when we are in the early stages and possibly underestimate Crypto as for many this is their first experience with digital currencies. In March 2018 when I found HIVE who would have thought it was such a profitable move by signing up and joining? This was like finding a lottery ticket except you have to work for the winning numbers.

Yesterday, someone mentioned how you and a few others had started on Hive together. And how she left off at some point but then returned to see that you and the others had gone a far off.
This didn't mean she felt left behind . No, she decided to take up her cross, and grind, and she said a whole lot changed for her too.
Hive gives us the chance to learn, and finally to earn. And as we keep going, we start seeing the potentials embedded in here. And we walk up, and say, "I want some of that, too". And when we put in the necessary effort, we get, some, and more of it.
Yes I think I know who that is and it would definitely show others what is possible and is a wake up call. Everyone has the same opportunity and it is up to you to get stuck in.

The whole concept of magical internet money still makes me laugh.
But while it's a joke on the surface, there's no denying the fact that there is a massive opportunity for anyone willing to take advantage.

I used to sell all my post rewards back in 2017 and 2018, now I am reinvesting the rewards into the hive ecosystem. It is very true that once you're familiar with how hive works and how much potential it has, and if you don't need the extra resources to live )selling hbd to buy food or something), then you stop selling cheap hive and adopt a more long-term mindset. Great post man!

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately I wont be attending Hivefest this time around as the passport expired and has been sent away for a replacement. Next time I should be in a better position and look forward to meeting everyone.
