2020 Biggest Mistake: Lending My Private Information To A Friend For Loan.

I want to talk about a bad experience in this post.
Before, i already made a post about life goals and small achievements.
Though remembering our bad experience is not something we need to keep thinking about, i think its still a good act to do to keep us grounded and stay in our roots.
Sometimes when we’re in better place, we forgot how hard it was before we can reach this better place.
We forgot about all of mistake that we made.
Im scared that if we’re not remembering our mistakes, we cant learn from it.
I think its better if we put down our ego and just accept the fact that we made mistakes.

As the title shows, one of my biggest mistake in 2020 are to lend my private information to my friend when she submit a loan request.
In my case, the private information that i share with her is my phone number.
She said that she doesnt have a phone number so i ket her using mine.
I do that because i believe that my friend is a good friend.
I have been friends with her for years now.
She used to sleep in my house and i sleep in her house.
We’re so close and basically like sister.
Of course i always want to help my sister.

Dont get me wrong, she submit the loan request at the time not because she need a loan or something.
Its just because as simple as we want to get a discount of watching movie from the loan application.
Even i made one at the time to get the discount.
And that is biggest the reason why i gave her my phone number.
Thankfully, its only the phone number that i gave, and not my id or something.
Or i will be in more trouble.

I truly believed that she will only use that one time.
But how surprised i was when i found out she kept using the loan application.
But since she used my private number, i find out whenever she made a purchase.
In the first month she payed it normally, on time.
But the few month after, she started to be late till i got called and everything.

But is it the end? Is it the problem?

No...

In 17th July, she made another purchase.
Its not a big money, its only around 100.000 idr or around 7 usd.
But did she pay it?
No she doesnt pay it at all even till now.
I even begged her to pay.
Why?
Because i got called and cursed everyday from debt collector.
Even till now, i still got called everyday and night because of her.
I got harassed for 7 month now.
I even need to put my phone in silent whenever i went out of my house because i might get embarrassed with people keep calling me all the time.
Its so frustrating and i can just feel that my hair gets even thin out because of the emotional stress that i got.
I feel scared whenever there’s an unknown number calling me.
I think that what she’s doing is very bas as a friend.
I dont care if she doesnt have money or anything but she must realized that she’s hurting her friend by ignoring to pay for her loan.
I think her mind is not in the right place so i cut my friendship with her.
I dont think she’s a good person at heart.

Its full if unknown number.
Mind you this is only some part and if i look up even further, its even more.
And if realized, its a call logs of two phone, why? Because i gave her my number as her registered number and i gave her one other number as the guarantor number.
Imagine how stupid i was?
So now i got harassed in both of my number.
I cant even sleep in peace because of all the calls in both of my phone.

Of course not only by calls, they sent me messages by whatsapp everyday from morning to night.

This is such a big lesson for me.
I got traumatic after this.
I was not wise and i will change myself in the future.
