Cub Keeps Rocking

I had another deeper look at my Cub investments today, something that turned into a weekly habit.

I wonder if that's too often, because everything else I track on a monthly basis.

But until now, as a complete newbie in the defi world when I started using Cub Finance at its launch, this weekly pace helped me better understand how Cub's economy moves. So, I think I'll keep doing it like that for a while.

What happened during the passed week?

Well, CUB started last week a little bellow 3$, went as high as 4.725$ on Friday and is now swapped for $3.681, like we can see on this chart:

Even if CUB pulled back on Friday afternoon and Saturday (some short term investors might have been marking their profits already), it's still a 22.7% increase last week.

As the second most important coin on Cub Finance, BNB pumped by over 36% last week, from around 272$ to around 372$. Interesting, it's like someone added $100 to its value.

My CUB-BNB farm still holds a little over 75% of the total - but dropping from over 80%, since I add rewards to CUB-BUSD now to balance things out - so as both CUB and BNB significantly increased in price, this farm was definitely a winner in USD terms.

Currently, I have investments in 4 farms and one den, listed in the reverse order of dollar valuation:
CUB-BNB (76%)
CUB-BUSD
bLeo-BNB
CUB
DEC-BUSD

If you think the high inflation from Cub Finance from the first two weeks made a huge deal, let's have a look at what happens when coins start to pump.

Last week I calculated a total return of 20.86% for my Cub investments, all while if I had kept the coins invested, during the same period, they wouldn't have increased almost at all.

After another week, ROI is 66.15%, and initial coins would have appreciated by 34.3% mostly because of the pump of BNB.

Winner, still, by a large and increasing margin, my Cub investments.

Of course, that can go the other way around. If both CUB and BNB go down, then the valuation in USD of my CUB-BNB liquidity will go down significantly, affecting ROI.

But, since we are in a bull market yet, I would expect any such pull backs to be temporary in nature, while huge pumps are still very likely ahead.

Glad its all going well for you. I haven't had a chance to check my figures yet. I have a tiny amount in the DEN and some in the DEC/BUSD farm. 😊

Thanks! Yeah, the den is great when the price of CUB pumps. And DEC-BUSD, while not very rewarding, it's very stable.

And DEC-BUSD, while not very rewarding

It's all a question of perspective. I'm thrilled with the CUBs I'm earning in the Farm as the DEC would otherwise just be sitting in a wallet so it's very rewarding for me. 😁

Lol, if you put it like that, yup, it's a much better option. And when I said what I said above I meant it in the sense of lower risk, lower reward (because there are two stablecoins involved, if we consider DEC a loose stablecoin)

You should check them weekly, as in crypto you need to be fast. I was compounding twice a day, but at the moment will do it only once to avoid paying to many fees.
It is an interesting investment, this is for sure.

Yeah, I also stopped harvesting twice a day more than a week ago, I think. For the same reason.

You should check them weekly

It takes me half a day to run/check all the numbers for all investments.

It means you have a lot of investments! Just kidding, I know the feeling. On some I do it twice a day and on some, maybe once a week. On ADA for example once every month.

It means you have a lot of investments!

If you start going deeper, the number grows, but not necessarily so high as a total.

I see you have the strategy to check your investments differentiated. This does make sense! But twice a day? One of the reasons I do this once a month most of the times, if to avoid micromanagement and emotional roller coaster based on intra-day / very short term fluctuations.

Yes, it really is a goldmine right now. I've got a little in Cub/BUSD and a bigger stake in bLeo/BNB but most of my value is just in the Cub den. I probably could be making more in the Cub/BNB but the returns are so good here already it's hard to risk it. I may buy some more Cub at some point and put it in a different pool but, like I said, with the returns being so good as is, it's hard to get too motivated. Almost feels like I'm stealing... lol

most of my value is just in the Cub den

Yup, with the 50% increase in the multiplicator, and if you don't want to "risk" selling it in an LP, that's a great option; not so great when the value of CUB goes down.

Almost feels like I'm stealing... lol

Shhh, don't let anyone hear you!
