Did You or Do You Plan to Get a Vaccine Shot Anti COVID-19?

This may be either a sensitive topic for many or a polarizing one. I'm not trying to create controversy but the topic might just do that.

I don't know if you believe there's a giant conspiracy theory behind Covid-19, or if the opportunity was used by enough around the world in the most cynical way. Or if you believe the vaccines are not enough tested and we are guinea pigs. Or whatever other possibility there is, because human mind is very resourceful when it's rested. And governments made sure masses are well rested during this period.

I believe some of the above...

However, I am getting the vaccine shot (from Pfizer, if it matters). Got the first one three weeks ago and the second shot tomorrow.

Why have I decided to take it:

  • I have regular contact with persons in the risk category (they get it too)
  • I have regular contact with persons who work with public (they get it too)
  • we had cases of Covid in our immediate and extended family, some with medium symptoms, and they are not a joke
  • we have a close neighbor with near-death experience, without prior health issues
  • I know enough persons either directly or indirectly who either died or were in very serious condition

What am I aiming with this vaccine shot?

  • if it works(!), to obtain an initial level of training of the immune system which at least would prevent a serious form of the disease
  • to avoid future discriminations which I'm sure will come based on whether you got or not the shot

Last time I didn't have any side effects worth mentioning. Wish me (us) luck!

How about you? Have you made up your mind or did you get vaccinated already?

I'm not taking it.

What are the side effects and risks that the companies producing them are officially presenting when you get the vaccine?

How efficient is it against Covid in real life?

Why are all sort of hospitals and states around the world pausing or even cancelling vaccinations?

Why would anyone discriminate me for not taking the jab?

Isn't one's personal health sovereign?

You have a very good question, I do not know yet whether I will get the shot or not. Seems like if you get the shot you still must wear a mask when going out, so maybe just continue good handwashing and mask wearing. I my Doctor's office offers it to me then I would get the shot, if on the other hand I have wait in a long line or travel to many places I might not get the shot.

Yup. Pretty much we will have the same safety measures in place after the vaccine for a while. Although I saw some areas in the world gave them up completely and they are ok as of now (e.g. Texas).
