Hive Price
I've seen excitement about the increase in Hive price on good volumes, breaking sell wall at 20 cents etc.
I'm happy about an increase in the price of Hive too, I have some myself.
However, I'm not a big fan of pump and dumps like the one that brought Hive to 1$ and then down to 10 cents, in the end.
And to many users that have been trained to hodl and power up, I believe this kind of roller coaster doesn't do much good, because the dissapointment is harder than the excitement of seeing the token go up, especially when we are talking about quick pump and dumps.
Taskmaster said in a post today that price doesn't matter, there's development on the chain regardless.
I only agree with the second part of his statement, that there's development regardless. But I believe pump and dumps generally hurt, IF the price doesn't find an equilibrium at a higher value after the dump.
But there is a good chance this increase in the price of Hive has a completely different reason than the one that brought Hive to 1$. That one was purely speculative and very short lived, only a few days.
This move is longer, a month already. I won't mention volumes, because that one was on even higher volumes, but couldn't be sustained for a long time.
What makes me think positively about this price movement of Hive is that buyers may have a clear goal: buy Hive (and power up!) for the soon to come airdrop from @threespeak, which will be to HP holders, from what I understood.
There is also the development of @hive.loans by @klye which may entice other investors to buy (more) Hive, knowing they won't have to block their investment for 3 months after this project is released. And all that happens without structurally affect the way power down works at the blockchain level.
Rising prices excites people, inevitably. Because they check their wallets and they see a higher amount in dollars or BTC or whatever. This might also be our late-late reaction to the market's bull run and then there might be plenty of growth left till it goes down again.
Lots of speculations above! Certainly don't invest based on what I write, do your own research.

After the evolution of overall crypto market in the last few weeks, it's nice to see also this kind of growth also in HIVE's value, so that we all see that our beloved chain is not forgotten :)
When something is ignored for too long it's not good. So yup, returning to the highlight even for those who already know about Hive is important.
