Time Flies By When You're Excited, But Seems to Stand Still When Your Morale is Down

As I was going through my notifications, I noticed HiveBuzz was wishing me "Happy Birthday" for being on Hive for 3 years already.

I obviously would have missed that, so thank you @HiveBuzz, and its creator, @arcange.

When I joined 3 years ago, it was the peak of the hype, overflowing FOMO. Actually crypto already started to take a plunge, but FOMO made plenty newcomers think it's just a big correction, and the bull market will continue. That included me, otherwise I would have sold then.

Three years later, things are not really the same. Although bitcoin doubled it's previous ATH, then corrected by 30%, although Ethrerium broke its ATH and is likely to go higher.

People are excited, sometimes very excited, but I think we are still far from a mainstream FOMO. Some even feel they can take down anything, wage war against almighty and win. Right here and now! Be careful, wars are never won by winning a battle here and there, and are never exciting, except at the beginning.

I watched an interview with CZ one of the other days (sorry, I don't remember where), and he said Binance has high numbers of daily people joining (plus reactivated accounts), but still they haven't broke the daily record from 2017. I think that could be a good indicator of how high the FOMO is mainstream.

Anyway, what I learned during these 3 years is to respect the cycles in crypto. And yet, these 3 years alone don't even make up for a full cycle, so I keep learning.

Wouldn't it be great if we could somehow store part of the excitement we feel these days (and many to follow) and feed from it in the long crypto winter that will come when the cycle brings everything back down?

I wonder how many resisted through the crypto winter and now enjoy the fruits of the bull market? We are definitely stronger, and perhaps wiser now.
