7k Leo Power on the 7th LPUD (A Milestone)

The 7th LPUD arrived fast and as part of our goal to keep participating since its inception (June 15th), we are going to stake the liquid LEO we have to keep growing our Leo Power. And we are hitting the 7k milestone today (both account LP combined), so yay!

Just in case you're new and reading this, Leo Power Up Day (LPUD) is an initiative in the LeoFinance community which happens every 15th of the month where we stake or power up LEO (the native token and one of the main rewards in the LeoFinance community). Doing it is our way of saying we are building our stacks because we are here for the long term.

Participating in it gives us a chance to win one of the delegations as follows:

• 3 person will each win 20k Leo Power delegation from @leofinance
• 11 will win each of the bonus LP delegations from the following delegators

• And if I'm not mistaken, the Bad Luck prize 60k LP Delegation from onealfa is still up for grabs by those who powered up for 3 consecutive months and had not initiated any power down. He's even thinking about doubling that amount to 120k LP so you can imagine how huge it is winning that! I'm not so sure but who knows we can be in for a wonderful surprise.

• Correction: The Bad Luck Prize is paused for this month per onealfa but it will be better in 2023 so you don't wanna miss any LPUD if you want to be eligible next year for this. This is going to be dope!

Winning any of the above prizes can certainly help to increase our LEO earnings in the form of curation rewards. Do note that you must meet the basic requirements below to qualify for any of the above LPUD prizes:

• Your total Leo Power (on the 15th) must be less than 20k (this doesn't apply for the doubling team delegation. If you have 50k LP and you power up 50k, the LEO team will delegate that amount to you.)
• You must power up at least 150 LEO on December 15.
• You must not have powered down any LEO since August 15.
• And make a post or a #thread on LeoFinance about LPUD and you may get a visit and some juicy upvote from @leo.voter and its curation trail.

But even if you we not win any prize, increasing our Leo Power means our upvote weight and value is higher when upvoting LeoFinance contents. Consequently, we will earn more curation rewards. So it's a win-win whether we get a chance at the prizes or not.

And on this LPUD, the LEO team is being generous and they will be doubling whatever amount we power up. Stake 150LEO for instance and you will get a 150LP delegation from the team. This is a good chance for us to increase our LP (and curation rewards) for almost a month. Nothing gets better than that, yeah?

And so for my participation, I'm raising my stakes today and also getting my fourth LPUD badge for the year courtesy of HiveBuzz. Although we are on the 7th LPUD, the badges for 2022 will only be four because it just rolled out in September.

And if you still did not know, there's an additional perk still yet to come for those who have LEO stakes. I read from Khal that they are working on the smart contract that will automate the process and once it is done, the LeoAds revenue will buy back LEO and distribute them as Leo Power so if you want to have more share of that, you gotta keep growing your stakes.
