What's Coming to PolyCUB

I was listening to Khal's podcast replay and learned that there are a few updates coming "soon" in PolyCUB.

Governance UI

The governance voting is currently being done manually where xPolyCUB stakeholders will have to send tiny corresponding MATIC amount transactions to vote for the vault they want to have more APR on. Snapshot is taken every week and the new APR changes get reflected on the farms after 24-48 hours.

• With the coming of the governance UI, one would probably just press a button corresponding to the vault one wants to vote. We shall see when it goes live.
  
  
• Khal mentioned that maybe, it will be out end of June. Today is 28th so we might see it anytime in the next two days. Hopefully it would roll out smoothly.
  
  

vexPolyCUB (Voting Escrow xPolyCUB)

• A way to lock up xPolyCUB for a few years and use it in governance. Locking it up will give you more weight in the voting.

  Example: If you stake 1000 xPolyCUB and lock it for two years, your voting power might be times 3 (1000x3 = 3000) compared to having just 1000 Vote Weight when it is not locked up.

  Wen vexPolyCUB?

  I didn't hear about when it is expected to come out but it might be within the year. I'm guessing some are waiting for the Collateralize Lending to come as well so let's see which amongst them will come first.
  
  

Goal for PolyCUB and CUB

It is worthy to note about Khal's vision for both PolyCUB and CUB platforms, and that according to him is "to generate long-term sustainable yields that you can rely on." Simply put, the goal is for PolyCUB and CUB to become reliable platforms with stable cash flow where investors don't have to worry about their stakes.

It's something to look forward to but of course, there is nothing set in stone. The protocols will go through the tests of time and circumstances and we hope that they will weather anything gracefully and will one day, finally become very sustainable and reliable in terms of yield, security and governance too.

As of this writing, the PolyCUB price has gained 16+% in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the APRs on the Farms are still looking good. Was surprised to see that the liquidity on the pools changed in just about an hour, the pHIVE-pCUB liquidity increased from $190k to $221k and so as the other pools too, except for pHBD-USDC which remained the same.

That happened I think because the price of PolyCUB rose a bit. It was $0.165 when I first saw it while writing and as I finalize this post, it is now $0.185 so yeah, it also bumped up the liquidity in the pools.

And I'm still accumulating pCUB from my lone farmer. The amount below was earned by my little stakes in exactly 7 days. Small they are but will keep stacking them, claiming when they get unlocked from the vault, putting them into xPolyCUB and seeing them grow, slow yet steady. Who knows, a year or two from now, these will add up to my retirement funds, lol!
