The Problem Of Imitation: A Chain Like Hive Might Face From Centralised Entities & Others

avatar

Recently, the price of hive has steadily done well, taking it's time and gradually climbing and recently people are beginning to receive the hardwork of building during the bear and just imagine hive at $2 and what the impact will eventually feel like. One thing I've realised now is that it's not everything with outrageous ROI that will eventually remain feasible and sustainable in the long-run.

Look around you, the world is full of imitations both in the virtual and physical, people are presented with the opportunity to earn huge monies but then they fail to understand the principal thing; short time wealth doesn't make you wealthy, it makes you more greedy, you gamble away with what should seem realistic because of the craze to make dumb money.

Take a look at hive; it'll be copied, many shinnier version of it will be created. Soon centralised entities will begin to build something like "a-copy-cat" version of hive, trying to build the community, pump in millions to buy the needed audience, they'll obviously achieve this because they have the voice already, they'll convince people to become shareholders but of course, the original will never be surpassed.

People want to replicate the success of others, steal their ideas and try to establish with it. This is what Jack Dorsey is obviously trying to do. With his concept of bluesky. We all know he's crazed about decentralization, he's dogged to build a platform as hive hence he's undermined hive itself so he can create his own shinner version.

Justin Sun tried to improvise steemit with his Tron-steem vision and dream he neglected the base core of how the blckchain eventually works and this is why steemit is no longer the blockchain we know. Sometimes money only buys the means it doesn't buy the innovative, the sophistication and the community.

This is what wealthy people do; they steal ideas or better still, they buy off brilliant innovations and try to customise it to something that suits that definition of greatness. So many projects have been killed because it's tampered with. Jack Dorsey has obviously done his findings on hive and instead of trying to push hive, become a stakeholder, he's completely trying to create something like hive.

The rights marketing is why we haven't fully gone mainstream this is why a lot of us felt Justin Sun would be perfect for steem as at then concerningbut instead he's not marketing, he didn't attempt to, never tweeted anything steem, he only wanted to steal the idea, the community and of course merge the two chain in a sort of blockchain ritual duality.

Vitalik Butterin is someone who has always gone lyrical about hive, it's simplicity and the sophistication behind the Chain. The future of microblogging is going to be monetized, it's going to be decentralised and basically this will be available soon via the hive blockchain. Twitter might not be the future of microblogging nevertheless a project like ProjectBLANK will and who's to say Jack isn't keeping tabs on hive and it's numerous projects?

We all know centralised freaks aren't really brilliant, they can't replicate what we have here, the chain is too sophisticated, they can't build this but they'll Only try to block us from hitting the tabs and phones of people. Hive is the future, they know and realise this and instead they try to create competition, selling theirs with juicier promises, stealing the intent and plans of an undervalued chain like hive rather than seeing a sense and purpose of rather choosing to makerting the original.

We will face not just face the challenges of competition, we will face the problem of imitation, fake replica with better mega money trying to mirror the chain, the dapps and the community and that's why we have to aim for top notch marketing soon, to reach the peak of adoption because we're the one true alpha chain.

It is very likely to see centralized entities was wanting to copy blockchain platforms to replicate what blockchain offers in a centralized form but there's factors that needs considering in making such moves a success.
We already saw with Facebook's Libra, I'm actually surprised I still remember the name "Libra" that project aims at decentralization in a centralized from, how is that going to exist is what I don't know.

Many will try and I'm sure with the gift of life we will be around to see the result.

Hahaha one thing is that these entities can't replicate what we have here. Take a look at Libra, I'm sure that one has totally failed. I am aiming to see what Jack Dorsey will amount to with thus #bluesky of his, but then it's crazy how they all want to copy with no ability themselves to form their own innovation

I think the biggest problem Hive is facing is the opposite of simplicity.
It's crazy how many numbers you have to deal with as a beginner.
There is voting mana, resourcecredits, hivepower , Hive, HB, LEO, CUB. I also have Archon and Neoxag on Hive Engine. Whatever that is.

I am falling in love with it, but it seems like a patchwork of ideas. Like a carricature of the car Homer invented in the simpsons. All great ideas but combined they created a monstrosity.

Dorsey know how people on the internet work. So if he creates something similar with a better user experience, we will be in trouble.

A person can easily learn with time. Blockchain itself isn't simple, it's simplification might be inevitable but it'll take time, the codes and everything that goes in shows a lot. Nevertheless a person can chose to just build with hive and leave the second layer but just learn the basics

I really love being on Hive because of the community and the support. I do, however, agree with @antonym. It is getting easier to get on Hive and get involved but in general people don't want to deal with all the keys and extra passwords and trying to learn what all the numbers mean. I was confused at first but I wanted to learn it because the centralized platforms are so saturated and only one side is able to express themselves and if you disagree you run the risk of getting shut down.

Only the hardcore of us that believe in HIVE can we remain sustainable. Copycats, competition and greed will always exist. How can we as a community remain resolute? If we stick together and help grow what we know and love then we can always be a force to be reckoned with or if greed is what we gravitate to then we’ll be dead in the water.
