My Silver Collection 7 - The Silver Maple Leaf 30th Anniversary Coin!
Well, it is about time for a new chapter in this series and I bring a commemorative coin for that.
The 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf 30th Anniversary Coin!
The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is one of the most recognized silver coins in the world. Its production began in 1988. In 2018 the Royal Canadian Mint to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Silver Maple Leafs released this commemorative issue of the coin.
On the reverse of the coin you can see the classic maple leaf with the number 30 ringed around it, thus marking the three decades of issue.
This creates a beautiful 3D effect which I love!
On the obverse of all Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins is the image of Queen Elizabeth II. In this it appears with the fourth generation design created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt.
Something that is characteristic of these Canadian coins are those lines in the background that look like rays of a sun that is in the center behind everything and that give a beautifull depth to the coin that has always caught my attention.
Only 250,000 of these coins were made. I have been looking for and currently they are worth more than double what it cost me in 2018. Not bad!
