Hive power Up Day

Hello Hive!

You knew the drill. It's Hive Power Up Day!

What is HPUD?

It is an event where Hivers are encouraged to power up their hives on the 1st day of the Month. Staking is the hivers way of supporting the Hive blockchain. Aside from support to Hive, staking has a 3% annual interest. So you can earn from it.

Also, it gives you a boost of influence in the platform. You can earn more from curation to support quality contents without running out of voting mana or resource credit.

Here is the some important facts for the event:

  1. Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70.
  2. Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
  3. You must power up at least 10 Hive on March 1st.
  4. You must write a post about your power up on March 1st with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Spanish).

You can read the full guide from @traciyork in Hive Power Up Day, March 1st 2021

@hivebuzz distributes awesome badges for people doing power up.

What can you have when you Power Up?

I've highlighted some benefits of having more Hive Power but here's a recap:

Stronger votes on content & witnesses. At first this not evident, but in the long run, it will make a difference.

Earning more curation rewards More HP can give you more curation rewards in return.

Earning "interest" by holding Hive Power - Earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year from staking

Earn by delegating. Delegation is "loaning" your HP for a better return and APY. If you have more to delegate, you can earn more by delegating which helps grow your balance even more!

HIVE Power Targets

It is not that long since I restarted writing in Hive after more than a year of hiatus. My soft target by next month is to have at 1000 HP.

I really see the value of reinvesting to the platform hence I want to stay longer on it. Thanks for dropping by.

Yes, that's a wise moved. I want to do that as well but stuff is happening right now. I don't have money to invest yet so I will just rely on you guys for now. Hive is a long-term investment after all.
