7 tips to help you write your first - introduction post for leofinance/hive

avatar

When you first join a new social media platform, what do you think? What are your first moves? How do you start?

In the past I was not using social media for personal updates, before I joined the first blogging website (steemit)

But before I joined I spent a whoooole lot of time reading posts and trying to learn as much as I could. I was anxious to start, but did not feel like starting before I felt ready to express and to expose my self.

Because this is what we do. We are here to write about our opinion, about our experiences, about themes/subjects that we wish to share with other people.

So, imagine that you have just landed on leofinance & hive! Welcome :) We are really excited to have you with us here!

My number one tip to you - make an introductory post!

Please, please, please!

Take sometime to make an introduction post
Use as your first tag #introduceyourself - feel free to check out the newest or the most trending introduction posts and follow some of the tips below

Need some inspiration? Answer these questions ;)

These are some of the questions you can use to help you craft a great introduction post, feel free to diversify, add your own, or simply improvise!

(1) Who are you?

It will really help to start with letting us know your real name or nick name or your username and a few things about you. You don't have to share personal information like date of birth or your home address, but it will help us know that you are a real person if you share with us your name, origins and anything else you wish to write

(2) How did you get into crypto?

If you are into crypto, or if not - let us know your relationship withe the crypto-sphere. Is leofinance/hive the first crypto-activity of yours? Are you a trader? Where did you here about this website?

(3) How did you decide to join leofinance.io/hive ?

If you read a post and it lead you here, if you saw a video which helped your decision to join, if you saw this platform on twitter or if a friend brought you here - we would love to hear about it!

Also, the person who was the initial 'cause' will really appreciate a mention :)

(4) Tell us a little more about your hobbies & plans

What will you be sharing? Do you have a special hobby/interest that you wish to write about?

(5) Photo

When I first joined steemit - 3 years ago - we were requested to post a photo holding a paper with the current date. This, to prove that we are a real person. I posted a paper with a sketch, my username and the date - it was enough!

You are not requested to post a photo of you, but any original image you wish to share will be valued and welcome. It will also make the post more interesting and more easy to read.

So, why miss this chance?

(6) Don't overthink!

source

You don't have to overthink. It is better to create a shorter but more cohesive post than a very big post with lots of unnecessary information. You will have many more opportunities to be motivated, to read other posts and to write lots of blogs!

(7) Don't post and leave

There will probably be some or lots of comments under your posts, make sure that you come back and check them out - reply to them and see what you are asked, or what people are commenting. You are a part of a strong and united cryptocommunity - enjoy it!

Extra tip

Go over to the giftgiver.site here and give some delegation to you for the first days in the platform :) That will help out with your first comments / posts etc till you receive your first earned tokens

Extra tip 2

Post daily, at least for the first days - you receive the rewards after 7 days of your post, so after 7 days you will start receiving what you earned.

Final thoughts ..

Did I leave anything out?
Would you want me to re-introduce myself? :)

Check out this post if you are new here :)

Thank you for visiting!

Posting daily is a great tip. Something that I personally need to work on. You see much higher engagement when you are putting content out to read on a regular basis. Great post once again, will be very helpful for the flocks of new users coming with project blank!
