Bitcoin currently free fall in the early hours of today might have come as a surprise to many. Many other people anticipated the fall but not many expect it to fall this soon.

15 hours ago, Btc was around 40,300 dollars and the fall from that price has seen its value stabilize at around 33k - 34k region. This is not the end of if it all.

I think the price is due to fall further due to how swift the price was quick to rise. It clearly showed that the value of BTC was highly inflated and pumped between December 15 to January 7.

The hike in price from $20k - $40k was quite questionable. Bitcoin value was not meant to increase in value at such a pace within a short time. Many expected a slow and steady growth rate just as it has always been.

It took the coin 9 years to hit its first $10k and a further 4 years to hit the $20k. The growth noticed was the steady increase in value. It wasn't as a rapid shoot in price but as a result of a consistent trend movement. But from 20k to 40k happened in a flash.

The price stands at 33k at the moment but I still see it losing over 30% in value as the price has been highly inflated. It will stabilize around the 22-25k region and maybe take off again and break into $50k before August. For now, let's expect a further free fall.
