LeoFinance x CUB Weekly Community AMA Session #1 | LeoBridge, Kingdoms and LeoFinance in 5 Years

avatar

Yesterday we held the first ever LeoFinance x CUB AMA session. Each Friday, we'll meet as a community and do these AMAs to talk about the current state of development in LeoFinance and Cub.

This week was a more unofficial dry run. There was no announcement prior to the live AMA. We just fired everything up, made sure it worked and then sent out a quick announcement on Discord after we started.

A few hundred people showed up through various means - Discord, Twitter, Telegram, YouTube, etc. - and we got some great questions asked and answered during the 45 minute AMA.

As we talked about in the AMA (and in a recent Roundtable), these have been the most heavy development times for the LeoFinance project as a whole. With CUB, LeoFinance.io, LeoBridge and many other aspects of the project being developed simultaneously, communication took a short backseat the past several weeks.

With an expanded team, we're making headway on a lot of goals that have been on the Roadmap for a long time.

These AMAs each week will help keep the entire community involved and in the know about what is currently being developed, what our future plans are and will go a long way in answering the hundreds of questions thrown around each week through our various community channels.

The current schedule has us doing these AMAs every Friday at 11AM EST. We'll record the AMAs every week and post them here and on all of our other channels as well.

On our Last Roundtable post, @randumb took the time to watch the whole episode and write out timestamps in a comment beneath the post. That's amazing and a huge help since we've been pressed for time lately. If anyone wants to do the same for this AMA, that would be greatly appreciated!

We'll send out some big upvotes in the comments (LEO and HIVE) for anyone who wants to write out timestamps in the comments for the episodes we post from here on out (Roundtables, Podcasts, AMAs, etc.)!

Don't forget: weekly community AMAs are going to be held every Friday at 11 AM EST on Twitter Live, YouTube Live, Discord and Telegram!

I think that's a great development. Frequent communication from the team was one of the features that made the LeoFinance community outstanding among other Hive tribes. Doing a weekly AMA is a great way to keep in touch with investors and fans. I hope to be a part of the next.

I heard mention of PoS (Proof of Stake) a few times towards the middle/end that could possibly be added. Are those like pools of PoS coins so we would put those cryptos with Cub to run the master node and collect a fee while paying out the staked earnings? or do I have that totally wrong?

I think it's more like the HEX model. Stake your tokens for a predetermined amount of time and if you end your stake early for some reason, you "pay" a penalty, which gets paid out to the people who fulfill their staking "contract" for lack of a better word. So, you basically lock up your staked tokens and then collect your rewards at the end of the period. Plus, a percentage of the penalties that were paid by people ending their stake early. And I think it's only Cub. Nothing else.

I think that's what he meant but...I could be wrong.

Great work doing these, team.

Your transparency makes promoting the rust factor for Cub Defi, easy.

No one else had done it yet so I figured I'd write it out. Never done one of these so if this isn't the right format, let me know. I will also say I can't commit to doing these for each one but....I had time to do this one, so I did. :-)

Great discussion guys! These will definitely be helpful going forward. As for the tattoos....you may not get one but if you keep building a quality ecosystem, I dare say there will be some users who will. :-)

I am totally in! Kusama network has a society with only 150 members they have to do a proof of ink by getting a tattoo of the KSM kanary and the hash of the current society head.
I am super into this! Put a cub on my buttcheek :)

Totally agree and it’s saves lots of energy that can be invested in building

What energy?

A team is a team for the very principle that you highlight. Builders keep building and PR people keep communications open with the users and general public.

Well done to LEO for remembering how to prioritize communication again but who is who?

@khaleelkazi needs to make that very accessible to everyone since he isn't really accessible. Nor should he be.

Who is who of LEO TEAM?

Those links at the bottom of each post show their products but nothing can easily be found about the team?

TIME FOR LEO TO GET PROFESSIONALISM ON POINT. Can't expect big moves in the crypto world while they stay a shy tribe on Hive.

The frequent AMA is good for the community, keep up with the good work. It's exciting to have the opportunity to increase my portfolio on a truly non-custodial wallet such as the atomic wallet application, where users have exclusive to their private keys and the opportunity to export the wallets to other platforms.

This was very enlightening. Just what I needed to get back on track, after having been distracted by life/ moving house as of late.

This video sure gives me the feeling that I made the right decision by farming CUB and HODLing most of my LEO coins.

Great job Khal and Neal! This format seems to work pretty well and it's great to be able to watch it, the day after, on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Keep up the good work!
