hi! newbie here, and i had this exact same realization as i started writing on Hive. my introductory post got me some LEO, which I converted to DEC so i could get some better monsters for Splinterlands, and now i have more compelling things to write about...etc etc...compound compound!
Hive lets people create the value they want to see! it's truly amazing.

That is how it works. A lot of different options to choose from. Splinterlands is one that is obviously very popular. Keep consistently being active and you will see your bags filling up over time.
Some of those bags will end up mooning for you, sending your holdings a lot higher.
It is great fun when that happens.
