The number of games built and developed on the Hive blockchain is continuously increasing and consequently the list of games I play or have decided to invest in is also growing.

Blockchain-based games are one of my passions and playing/investing in all Hive-based games is a goal of mine.
Today and for the first time, I decided to invest in the game Infernal Coliseum and purchased 1 Legendary Chest.
In today's post I share my first impressions of Infernal Coliseum.

Infernal Coliseum is a PvP and RPG strategy game where players compete against each other to gain control of the game territory.

I started playing on Infernal Coliseum on January 12, 2023 when I decided to use the ICPVTWO token I had received as a prize for participating in the World Cup initiative organized by hivebuzz.

The ICPVTWO token is the tokenized form of a V2 card pack of Infernal Coliseum.
To open the card pack I went to https://infernalcoliseum.com and, after logging in, chose from the menu the Packs V2 menu item.
On the next screen I entered the value 1.

Inside the pack I opened I found 3 NFTs:

• Alyran - The Mad Elf
• Golbin Farmer
• Human Farmer

Alyran - The Mad Elf is an NFT of type Hero that can be used in map zones to fight against Monster Zones and earn SOULS tokens, which are Infernal Coliseum native tokens and are also second-level tokens from the Hive blockchain.

Each game zone is a pool of SOULS tokens and has a requirement in XP to gain access.

At first I had 0 XP so I only had one zone I could send my Hero to: Alexandreia.

After clicking on the Alexandreia zone, a screen opened where I clicked on the sword symbol.

On the next screen I selected my one NFT of type Hero and clicked + set nfts.

At 1:02 AM on January 13, 2023, I received 0.02 SOULS in my wallet and my XP score increased by 1 unit.

Today January 23, 2023 1 token SOULS has a value of:

• 0.39990000 SWAP.HIVE = $0.1586347 (Lowest Ask)
• 0.20100001 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0797339 (Highest Bid)

If I consider the immediately monetized value of the SOULS tokens (Highest Bid) with the first sending of my hero to the Alexandreia area I gained 0.02 SOULS = 0.004 SWAP.HIVE = $0.001594.

Although it is a very small gain in value it is a good gain when I consider that it cost me only one mouse click.

Over the next three days I repeated the same operation I did on the first day and when I reached an XP score of 4 points I sent my hero to the Morntaric zone which has a requirement of XP=4.

My gain in this zone was identical to the gain I got in the Alexandreia zone because the reward pools of the two zones are both 5 SOULS.

Zones that have higher XP requirements have a higher reward pool.
For example, the Honk Hill zone that has an entry requirement of 375 XP has a daily reward pool of 62.5 SOULS instead of the Alexandreia zone's 5 SOULS.

My First Investment on Infernal Coliseum.

Today I decided to make my first investment on Infernal Coliseum and decided to purchase a Chest.

There are six purchase options to choose from in the Purchase->Chests section:

• Initial: 0.5 SOULS
• Common: $1 payable in SOULS or HIVE.
• Rare: $2.5 payable in SOULS or HIVE
• Epic: $5 payable in BUDS or HIVE
• Silver: $10 payable in BUDS or HIVE
• Legendary: $20 payable in BUDS or HIVE

Actually, the payment methods to choose from are more than those listed in the Chests section because payment is made through https://hivepay.io/ which allows you to use different payment methods including SOULS, HBD, DEC, ...

I chose to purchase 1 Legendary Chest and as a payment method I chose to use SWAP.HIVE tokens because there was a 25% discount using this payment method.

Using SWAP.HIVE tokens I spent 38.167 SWAP.HIVE = $15.03 (1 HIVE = $0.394).

1 Legendary Chest can contain:

• a random amount of V2 Packs between 8-20
• an amount of IXP tokens between 25-50
• 10% chance of finding a legendary card.

After the purchase I received in my wallet:

• 15 ICPVTWO = 15 V2 Packs
• 46 IXP

I decided to open all the packs I purchased.

Opening packs in an NFT-based game is always a fun operation but Infernal Coliseum has not yet implemented this graphically and to see the cards I found I went to the Inventory section.

In the following images you can see all the cards I found in the 15 V2 packs.

In the whitepaper, I could not find the information to identify the rarity of the cards, and it is not specified in any section on the website.
What color identifies an epic card, what color identifies a legendary card?
It's just my opinion but I think the rarity of a card should be explicitly stated among the card statistics or a legend should be included somewhere on the site.

Final Considerations

My first impression of Infernal Coliseum is positive:

• I like the theme of the game.
• I like the idea behind the game.
• I like the tokenomics of the game (SOULS and IXP).

But there are also aspects that can be improved in my opinion:

• the whitepaper is very concise and should be expanded to provide more information
• the information found on the website is scarce
  A new player should have everything needed to understand the game on site and the docs section alone does not allow for this

There are other aspects of the game that I like but did not cover in this post such as:

• Guilds
• Leaderboards
• XP, IXP and XP pools

In conclusion I consider Infernal Coliseum a beautiful game with potential but the level of user friendliness needs to be increased!

My experience playing Infernal Coliseum is still minimal but in the next few days I will explore and try out the various features of the game and then write a post to share my experience and thoughts.

I miei primi giorni e il mio primo investimento in Infernal Coliseum

Il numero dei giochi costruiti e sviluppati sulla blockchain di Hive è in continuo aumento e di conseguenza anche la lista dei giochi in cui gioco o ho deciso di investire si sta allungando.
I giochi basati su blockchain sono una delle mie passioni e giocare/investire su tutti i giochi Hive-based è un mio obiettivo.
Oggi e per la prima volta, ho deciso di investire nel gioco Infernal Coliseum e ho acquistato 1 Legendary Chest.
Nel post di oggi condivido le mie prime impressioni su Infernal Coliseum.

Infernal Coliseum è un gioco di strategia PvP e RPG dove i giocatori competono tra di loro per conquistare il controllo del territorio di gioco.

Ho iniziato a giocare su Infernal Coliseum il 12 gennaio 2023 quando ho deciso di utilizzare il token ICPVTWO che avevo ricevuto come premio per la partecipazione alla promozione sui mondiali organizzata da hivebuzz.

Il token ICPVTWO è la forma tokenizzata di un pacco di carte V2 di Infernal Coliseum.
Per aprire il pacco di carte sono andato su https://infernalcoliseum.com e, dopo aver fatto il login, ho scelto dal menu la voce Packs V2.
Nella schermata successiva ho inserito il valore 1.

All'interno del pacco che ho aperto ho trovato 3 NFTs:

• Alyran - The Mad Elf
• Golbin Farmer
• Human Farmer

Alyran - The Mad Elf è un NFT di tipo Hero che può essere utilizzato nelle zone della mappa per combattere contro i Monster Zone e guadagnare i token SOULS che sono i token di Infernal Coliseum e sono anche token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive.

Ogni zona di gioco è una pool di token SOULS e ha un requisito in XP per poter accedere.

All'inizio avevo 0 XP e quindi avevo una sola zona in cui potevo mandare il mio Eroe: Alexandreia.

Dopo aver cliccato sulla zona Alexandreia si è aperta una schermata in cui ho cliccato sul simbolo della spada.

Nella schermata successiva ho selezionato il mio unico NFT di tipo Eroe e ho cliccato su + set nfts.

Alle ore 1:02 AM del 13 gennaio 2023 ho ricevuto nel mio wallet 0.02 SOULS e il mio punteggio XP è aumentato di 1 unità.

Oggi 23 gennaio 2023 1 token SOULS ha un valore di:

• 0.39990000 SWAP.HIVE = $0.1586347 (Lowest Ask)
• 0.20100001 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0797339 (Highest Bid)

Se considero il valore immediatamente monetizzabile dei token SOULS (Highest Bid) con il primo invio del mio eroe nella zona Alexandreia ho guadagnato 0.02 SOULS = 0.004 SWAP.HIVE = 0.001594$.

Anche se è un guadagno di valore molto piccolo è un buon guadagno se considero che mi è costato solo un click del mouse.

Nei tre giorni successivi ho ripetuto la stessa operazione che ho effettuato il primo giorno e quando ho raggiunto un punteggio XP di 4 punti ho mandato il mio eroe nella zona Morntaric che ha un requisito di XP=4.

Il mio guadagno in questa zona è stato identico al guadagno che ho ottenuto nella zona Alexandreia perchè le reward pool delle due zone sono entrambe di 5 SOULS.

Le zone che hanno requisiti in XP maggiori hanno una reward pool maggiore.
Ad esempio la zona Honk Hill che ha un requisito di accesso di 375 XP ha una reward pool giornaliera di 62.5 SOULS invece dei 5 SOULS della zona Alexandreia.

My First Investment on Infernal Coliseum

Oggi ho deciso di fare il mio primo investimento su Infernal Coliseum e ho deciso di acquistare un Chest.

Ci sono sei opzioni di acquisto tra cui scegliere nella sezione Purchase->Chests:

• Initial: 0.5 SOULS
• Common: 1$ pagabile in SOULS o HIVE
• Rare: 2.5$ pagabile in SOULS o HIVE
• Epic: 5$ pagabile in BUDS o HIVE
• Silver: 10$ pagabile in BUDS o HIVE

In realtà i metodi di pagamento tra cui scegliere sono di più di quelli indicati nella sezione Chests perchè il pagamento viene effettuato tramite https://hivepay.io/ che permette di utilizzare diversi metodi di pagamento tra cui anche SOULS, HBD, DEC, ...

Io ho scelto di acquistare 1 Legendary Chest e come metodo di pagamento ho scelto di utilizzare i token SWAP.HIVE perchè c'era uno sconto del 25% utilizzando questo metodo di pagamento.

Utilizzando i token SWAP.HIVE ho speso 38.167 SWAP.HIVE = 15.03$ (1 HIVE = 0.394$).

1 Legendary Chest può contenere:

• un quantitativo random di V2 Pack compreso tra 8-20
• un quantitativo di token IXP compreso tra 25-50
• 10% di probabilità di trovare una legendary card

Dopo l'acquisto ho ricevuto nel mio wallet:

• 15 ICPVTWO = 15 V2 Packs
• 46 IXP

Ho deciso di aprire tutti i pacchi che ho acquistato.

Aprire i pacchi di un gioco basato su NFT è sempre un operazione divertente ma Infernal Coliseum non ha ancora implementato graficamente questa operazione e per vedere le carte che ho trovato sono andato nella sezione Inventory.

Nelle immagini seguenti puoi vedere tutte le carte che ho trovato nei 15 pacchi V2.

Nel whitepaper non sono riuscito a trovare le informazioni per individuare la rarità delle carte e nel sito non è specificato in nessuna sezione.
Quale colore identifica una carta epica, quale colore identifica una carta leggendaria?
E' solo la mia opinione ma penso che la rarità di una carta debba essere indicato esplicitamente tra le statistiche delle carte oppure va inserita una legenda da qualche parte nel sito.

Final Considerations

La mia prima impressione su Infernal Coliseum è positiva:

• mi piace il tema del gioco
• mi piace l'idea alla base del gioco
• mi piace la tokenomics del gioco (SOULS e IXP)

Ma ci sono anche degli aspetti migliorabili secondo me:

• il whitepaper è molto sintetico e andrebbe ampliato per fornire maggiori informazioni
• le informazioni reperibili sul sito sono poche
  Un nuovo giocatore dovrebbe avere tutto il necessario per capire il gioco on site e la sola sezione docs non permette di farlo

Ci sono altri aspetti del gioco che mi piacciono ma che non ho trattato in questo post come:

• Guilds
• Leaderboards
• XP, IXP e pool XP

In conclusione considero Infernal Coliseum un gioco bello e con potenziale ma va aumentato il livello di user friendly!

La mia esperienza di gioco su Infernal Coliseum è ancora minima ma nei prossimi giorni esplorerò e proverò le varie funzionalità del gioco e poi scriverò un post per condividere la mia esperienza e le mie considerazioni.
