In the game of Splinterlands there are seasons that are 15 days long and the last season ended on September 30, 2021.
On September 29, I published a post in which I shared my end-of-season strategy, which is based on long and mainly card rentals and depends on:

  • the value of DEC tokens
  • the amount of DEC tokens I receive from each battle won
  • the average cost of renting useful cards in battle.
  • the estimated value of the chests: the rewards of daily quests and end of season rewards.

With one day left in the Splinterlands season I was in Gold I league and had:

  • a rating score of 2637 points
  • a Power score of 213600 points.

Advancing in the Diamond III league would allow me to receive 10 additional chests which based on the https://www.splintercards.com/tool-lootchest.html calculation had an estimated value of 53 DEC tokens per single chest (as of September 29).

Taking into account the 4 additional chests I would get from completing two daily quests before the end of the season, joining the Diamond III league would allow me to receive a total of 14 additional chests whose total estimated value was 742 DEC tokens.

I had decided to proceed in steps:

  • First Step: try to surpass the rating score of 2800 points (first requirement to enter the Diamond III league).
  • Second Step: increase my Power score up to 250000 Power points (second Diamond III league entry requirement) by spending at most half of the estimated value of the additional reward I would receive by joining the Diamond III league (+14 chests in total).

The first step was very easy to complete and I had no trouble passing the 2800 point rating score but completing the second step of my strategy was practically impossible for me.

To access the Diamond III league I needed to increase my power score by 34400 points and I needed to spend half of 742 DEC tokens: 371 DEC tokens.

Finding cards to rent with a high power score and a low rental cost is very easy thanks to the website https://peakmonsters.com/ that allows you to order the cards that have the highest Collection Power/Cost ratio in DEC per day (best possible choice).

The problem was that I wasn't the only Splinterlands player trying to increase the power score during the last day of the season, so I couldn't rent any cards.
The only cards that were not immediately taken with an almost instant speed were cards with a very high rental cost and therefore not convenient because I would have spent much more than the expected profit I would have obtained from the additional chests by advancing the league.

For this reason I decided to save my DEC tokens and my time and stopped in Gold I league and settled for only getting 30 chests.

Statistics and Considerations

I then finished my season in Gold I league and placed one hundred and twenty-fourth in the Gold league rankings with a rating score at the exact end of the season of 2818 points.

I completed fewer battles than the previous season: 266 battles compared to 312 battles completed in the previous season.
My winrate was 51.88% (50.64% in the previous season).

My end-of-season reward

The reward for those who finish the season in Gold I league is 30 chests.
The chests can contain three types of rewards: Reward collection cards, DEC tokens, and Potions.

The probability of finding a card inside the chests is 50%.

I found 15 cards out of 30 chests (one card for every two chests) perfectly averaged based on the odds.

I found:

  • 13 common cards
  • 2 rare cards

The total value of the cards I found inside the chests is $4,913 (https://peakmonsters.com/@libertycrypto27/explorer)

DEC and Potions

In the remaining 15 chests I found:

  • 7 legendary potions
  • 2 alchemical potions
  • a total of 115 DEC tokens.

The value of 115 DEC tokens is 1.57895 HIVE (Highest BID on LeoDex/HiveEngine/TribalDex - October 4, 2021)

The dollar value of 115 DEC tokens is $1.15.

The total value of my end-of-season reward is the result of adding up the following items:

  • total value of cards found in chests: 4,913 $
  • total value of DEC tokens found in the chests: 1.15 $

The profit I made from my end of season reward was $1.15 + $4.913 = $6.06

The end-of-season reward is just one of the many rewards that Splinterlands gives out to its players.
More important than the end-of-season rewards are the daily rewards.
For example, completing the daily mission in Gold League II for 6 days allows you to receive 36 chests against the 30 chests of the end of season reward for players who finish the season in Gold League I ;)

I haven't been very lucky with the contents of the chests but I enjoy playing Splintelands and the fact that I get a reward as a result of my play and fun makes any end of season reward always good ;)

Nel gioco di Splinterlands ci sono le stagioni che hanno una durata di 15 giorni e l'ultima stagione si è conclusa il 30 settembre 2021.
Il 29 settembre ho pubblicato un post in cui ho condiviso la mia strategia di fine stagione che si basa da tempo e principalmente sul noleggio delle carte e dipende da:

  • il valore dei token DEC
  • la quantità di token DEC che ricevo da ogni battaglia vinta
  • il costo medio del noleggio delle carte utili in battaglia.
  • il valore stimato dei forzieri: le ricomepense delle missioni giornaliere e delle ricompense di fine stagione.

A un giorno dalla fine della stagione di Splinterlands ero in lega Gold I e avevo:

  • un punteggio di rating di 2637 punti

Avanzare nella lega Diamond III mi avrebbe permesso di ricevere 10 forzieri aggiuntivi che in base al calcolo del sito https://www.splintercards.com/tool-lootchest.html avevano un valore stimato di 53 token DEC per singolo forziere (in data 29 settembre).

Considerando anche i 4 forzieri aggiuntivi che avrei ottenuto dal completamento di due missioni giornaliere prima della fine della stagione, entrare nella lega Diamond III mi avrebbe permesso di ricevere in totale 14 forzieri aggiuntivi il cui valore stimato totale era di 742 token DEC.

Avevo deciso di procedere per step successivi:

  • Primo Passo: provare a superare il punteggio di rating di 2800 punti (primo requisito di accesso alla lega Diamond III)
  • Secondo Passo: aumentare il mio punteggio Power fino a 250000 punti Power (secondo requisito di accesso alla lega Diamond III) spendendo al massimo la metà del valore stimato della ricompensa aggiuntiva che avrei ricevuto accedendo alla lega Diamond III (+14 forzieri in totale).

Il primo passo è stato molto facile da completare e non ho avuto difficoltà a superare il punteggio di rating di 2800 punti ma completare il secondo passo della mia strategia mi è stato praticamente impossibile.

Per accedere alla lega Diamond III dovevo aumentare il mio punteggio power di 34400 punti e dovevo spendere la metà di 742 token DEC: 371 token DEC.

Trovare le carte da noleggiare con un punteggio power alto e un costo di noleggio basso è molto facile grazie al sito https://peakmonsters.com/ che permette di ordinare le carte che hanno il rapporto Collection Power/ Costo in DEC per giorno più alto (migliore scelta possibile).

Il problema è stato che non ero l'unico giocatore di Splinterlands che cercava di aumentare il punteggio power durante l'ultimo giorno della stagione e quindi non sono riuscito a noleggiare nessuna carta.

Le uniche carte che non venivano subito prese con una velocità quasi istantanea erano carte dal costo di noleggio molto alto e quindi non conveniente perchè avrei speso molto più del profitto atteso che avrei ottenuto dai forzieri aggiuntivi che avrei ricevuto avanzando di lega.

Per questo motivo ho deciso di risparmiare i miei token DEC e il mio tempo e mi sono fermato in lega Gold I e mi sono accontentato di ricevere solo 30 forzieri.

Statistiche e Considerazioni

Ho quindi concluso la mia stagione in lega Gold I e mi sono posizionato al centoventiquattresimo posto della classifica di lega Gold con un punteggio di rating al momento esatto della fine della stagione di 2818 punti.

Ho completato un numero di battaglie inferiore alla stagione precedente: 266 battaglie contro le 312 battaglie completate nella stagione precedente.
Il mio winrate è stato del 51.88% (50.64% nella stagione precedente).

La mia ricompensa di fine stagione

La ricompensa per chi termina la stagione in lega Gold I è di 30 forzieri.
I forzieri possono contenere tre tipologie di premi: Carte della collezione Reward, token DEC e Pozioni.

La probabilità di trovare una carta all'interno dei forzieri è del 50%.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte che ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri.

Ho trovato 15 carte su 30 forzieri (una carta ogni due forzieri) perfettamente in media in base alle probabilità.

Ho trovato:

  • 13 carte comuni
  • 2 carte rare

Il valore totale delle carte che ho trovato all'interno dei forzieri è di 4.913$ (https://peakmonsters.com/@libertycrypto27/explorer)

DEC e Pozioni

Nei restanti 15 forzieri ho trovato:

  • 7 pozioni leggendarie
  • 2 pozioni alchemiche
  • un totale di 115 token DEC.

Il valore in dollari di 115 token DEC è di 1.15 $

Il valore totale della mia ricompensa di fine stagione è il risultato della somma delle seguenti voci:

  • valore totale delle carte trovate nei forzieri: 4.913 $
  • valore totale dei token DEC trovati nei forzieri: 1.15 $

Il profitto che ho ottenuto dalla mia ricompensa di fine stagione è stato di 1.15 $ + 4.913 $ = 6.06 $

Potevo essere decisamente più fortunato ma giocare a Splintelands mi piace e il fatto di ricevere una ricompensa come frutto della mia attività di gioco e di divertimento rende ogni ricompensa di fine stagione sempre buona ;)

Bravo Liberty! Io da quando ho rafgorzato il mazzo per avere il Mac Tier alla Dimond II.... (colpo di scena) non sono più riuscito neanche ad entrare in Diamond III... :( continuo peró a divertirmi
