COVID's next wave will include economic ruin as famine will arise

It wasn't too long ago that I provided some thoughts and opinions on what was happening in India and without mainstream media or any other form of inside information of India I used my knowledge and experience to assess what was occurring, it's sad to think I was right.

As images begin to emerge of the rampant spread of COVID we're starting to see our first scenes of mass crematoriums emerge from India and the Subcontinent. The daily death toll stands at the thousands and it's not a true indication but rather a guesstimate.

Crematoriums begin to break down and melt due to their constant burning and prople of the Subcontinent resort to using wood to burn the bodies of their loved ones. Many without proper burials or funerals. Loved ones just ripped away from their families and taken to be burned.

The ticking time bomb that COVID is is only just building up in India and will get far worse. Hospitals are already running out of oxygen and PPE supplies and many are being asked to remain home if unwell a decision no doubt that will ultimately lead to further death and an attempt to isolate the sick.

But it is a failed stance, those that are unwell will seek aid and their family members will depart their homes to find supplies and the most basic of living staples like food and water.

**## **Famine****

It's hard to eat and produce food when you can't breathe.

As things get harder and Dalit caste system begins to shelter and escape the carnage of COVID food production will take an enormous dive. When all the riches in the world and precious minerals cease to be able to sustain your daily requirements of food they will become worthless as people begin to run out of food.

India is no stranger to famine and they experienced one of the most deadliest times in history brought on by famine. Spanning the 18th, 19th and 20th century India's famine impacted the country so badly that it still experiences the ramifications of a starving population.

India's food production is heavily reliant on weather due to its climate rain is scarce so water catchments, logistics and management are crucial to the survival of its nation.

But it will be significantly more challenging to maintain current infrastructure, ensure catchments are working, logistics are operating and farms are producing crops with a pandemic on the loose.

Areas will become logistical no go zones, farms will become vacant as workers vacate plantations or fall ill, catchments won't be able to be maintained and transport routes will most likely become inundated with people attempting to flee COVID ravaged areas.

A new form of asylum seekers and refugees will emerge as people escaping famine no doubtably infected with COVID attempt to flee in search of food and a better life.

This iteration of COVID will be deadly to alot more people as many will make it out of contamination zones and into neighbouring countries. Wealth will play a role in securing people's freedom as riches are swapped for boats.

images.jpeg-36.jpg

I'd anticipate this is a fear for many nations who battle with bringing COVID under control in their own nations. Newer more powerful strains resistant to vaccine may emerge causing further problems.

The second wave of the Spanish flu was alot more dangerous and killed alot more people but we were alot less connected and it took months to reach another country by boat. Now you can do it in a matter oh hours on a plane.

There are unconfirmed reports that boarder officials in the Subcontinent are seeking financial payment for negative COVID test results as well as providing positive ones to people if payment isn't made.

A failed boarder structure will see people abandon the process and take to the seas and more riskier attempts at leaving. Many will not make the journey and many will perish.

The current situation in the Subcontinent is a scary one for the globe, if left unchecked and not supported through the pandemic will have ever lasting impacts on the globe.

I can't believe India is still going ahead with the polls with the way things are going. That'll spread the virus even more.

Food distribution is going to get impacted and it was already pretty bad even without a pandemic.
