¿Cómo ha impactado la tecnología de Crypto y Blockchain mis finanzas personales? / How has Crypto and Blockchain Technology impacted my personal finance?

Atendiendo a la invitación que nos hizo @theycallmedan para hablar sobre el impacto que ha tenido en nuestras finanzas la tecnología de Crypto y Blockchain, les presento parte de mi historia en este transitar sobre esta cadena de bloques.

En nuestro país el signo monetario que es el bolívar está más que devaluado desde hace muchísimos años, yo diría que es casi una especie en vía de extinción, esto ha hecho que los venezolanos busquemos la forma de respaldar nuestros recursos de alguna forma, bien sea invirtiendo dichos bolívares en otras divisas (forma más tradicional) o comprando productos y bienes. Aunque desconozco las estadísticas del uso de las criptomonedas en mi país, creo que se ha ido convirtiendo en una nueva forma de respaldar los bolívares.

Recuerdo haber leído hace unos años atrás sobre el Bitcoin, en ese entonces no entendía muy bien cómo era el tema de la minería y menos que pudiera ser una inversión segura dado su carácter descentralizado y sin respaldo como el dinero tradicional. En ese entonces creí erradamente que sería una especie de ficha de juego para intercambio en comunidades específicas y por ello no le preste mayor interés.

En mi caso particular, jamás pensé en invertir o relacionarme en este mundo de la blockchain porque suelo moverme en áreas que consideraba más “estables” o menos “riesgosas” pero desde hace un tiempo me he dado cuenta que no son más que paradigmas que tenía que me ha tocado enfrentar y trascender en búsqueda de nuevas formas de generar recursos e inversiones.

Hasta ahora siento que he tenido un crecimiento moderado en estos últimos 4 meses dentro de Hive, no quería hacer uso de los recursos que he ganado esperando hacer una especie de “colchón” que me sirviera luego para adquirir la computadora que deseo y necesito para trabajar. Sin embargo, tuve que hacer uso de parte de ellos recientemente para atender una situación de salud.

En ese momento me sentí con mucha gratitud de tener ese dinero allí a disposición y cambiarlos a la moneda local en cuestión de minutos ¡fue una operación muy fácil! gracias a mis amigos de @rutacambios, fue entonces que me di cuenta que no solo era una forma de ahorrar sino también de tener un respaldo para afrontar cualquier situación inesperada que se te pueda presentar.

Coincido con mucho de los que han escrito en esta iniciativa en que no es tarea fácil producir y hacer crecer tu cuenta, requiere de mucho empeño, esfuerzo, perseverancia, aprendizaje y dedicación. Para mí ha sido un gran valor agregado en muchos aspectos, inclusive en este económico porque se ha convertido en un medio adicional de generar ingresos que no tenía en mente y dada la situación económica siempre suma.

En definitiva siento que si bien no podría ser en este momento mi fuente principal de ingresos, no dudo que en algún momento no pueda convertirse en ella, o si quiera en una de las más importantes. Por ahora estoy conforme y agradecida con todo lo que me va sumando desde el punto de vista económico y de crecimiento personal.

Por todo ello, aprovecho la oportunidad para agradecer a @rutablockchain, en especial a @danielvehe y @enmy por haberme mostrado esta posibilidad y todos los conocimientos que me han aportado sobre esta nueva forma de economía.

How has Crypto and Blockchain Technology Impacted your Personal Finance?

Following the invitation made by @theycallmedan to talk about the impact that Crypto and Blockchain technology has had on our finances, I present part of my story in this journey over this chain of blocks.

In our country the monetary sign that is the bolivar has been more than devalued for many years, I would say that it is almost a species in danger of extinction, this has made us Venezuelans look for ways to support our resources in some way, either by investing these bolivars in other currencies (more traditional way) or by buying products and goods. Although I do not know the statistics of the use of crypto-currencies in my country, I believe that it has become a new way to support the bolivars.

I remember reading a few years ago about Bitcoin, at the time I didn't really understand how the mining industry was involved, let alone that it could be a safe investment given its decentralized and unsupported character like traditional money. At the time I mistakenly thought that it would be a kind of game piece for exchange in specific communities and therefore I didn't pay much attention to it.

In my particular case, I never thought of investing or relating in this world of the blockchain because I usually move in areas that I considered more "stable" or less "risky" but for some time I have realized that they are only paradigms that I had to face and transcend in search of new ways to generate resources and investments.

Until now I feel that I have had a moderate growth in these last 4 months within Hive, I did not want to make use of the resources I have gained hoping to make a kind of "mattress" that would serve me later to acquire the computer I want and need to work. However, I had to make use of them recently to attend to a health situation.

At that moment I felt very grateful to have that money there at my disposal and to change it to the local currency in a matter of minutes. It was a very easy operation! Thanks to my friends at @rutacambios, it was then that I realized that it was not only a way to save but also to have a backup to face any unexpected situation that might arise.

I agree with many of the Hivers who have written on this initiative, when they say that it is not an easy task to produce and grow your account, it certainly requires a lot of commitment, effort, perseverance, learning and dedication. For me it has been a great added value in many aspects, including this economic one because it has become an additional means of generating income that I did not have in mind and given the economic situation it always adds up.

In summary I feel that although Hive could not be my main source of income at this time, I have no doubt that at some point it could become it, or even one of the most important. For now I am satisfied and grateful with everything that is adding up from the economic and personal growth point of view.

For all this, I take the opportunity to thank @rutablockchain, especially @danielvehe and @enmy for having shown me this possibility and all the knowledge they have given me about this new form of economy.
