SoMee to launch tokens on the Hive Blockchain.
The HIve eco-system just keeps growing and growing. I signed up for the SoMee.beta site a while back as they had been making some decent noise about a new form of social media. One where the creators will earn revenue and they have gotten some impressive partners to go with the project already.
The real selling point for me was when they said that they would be partnering with Hive and allowing for hive cross-posting to their site and monetary rewards for the content.
A site that would allow you to cross post hive blogs and earn from advertising revenue was always one that I was going to be interested in. It's the model that I have been looking for with a long time and that @leofinance have used to launch their own eco-system.
What is the point of having all of this data and content if we don't use it to enhance the experience and the product. It only becomes wasted time and on SoMee I expect the content to be evergreen as it will be based on views not votes.
It gets better
So the project is in building mode at the moment but they are ramping up the development right now as they are getting nearer to the end product. With a team of 20 devs they have been putting this together for over a year which for me bodes well. They are taking the time to build and release a better product rather than a quick build which fails to deliver.
Even better, they are launching a token on the hive blockchain as well as tie into Cardano which is a very popular chain at the moment.
Cardano + HIVE + ? = SoMee.
I like the sound of that.
Now that you know that our rewards token will be HIVE-based. You now have the full picture of our platform with the exception of the DEFI side. The DEFI side will tie into staking and locking up assets on side chains, and the points system. But is not required to use SoMee.

How will it all work together?
Honestly, I have no clue what the finished product will look like as they are only launching now and have along way to go yet. It does all sound brilliant for the hive eco-system and should bring a lot of new users in as well as allow exisitng users to earn more form their posts through ad revenue and token on the SoMee site.
I will be trying it out and from the beta site which I have joined a while back think that it gives off a great feel and a UI which can match up to traditional web2 sites.
I'm looking forward to this one.

Okay, that sounds compelling... let's see what they've got to offer! As the Hive ecosystem grows though, we're going to either see further division and dilution as people continue to spread out, or there will be a gradual culling of the less effective platforms and communities. I'll be watching. Thanks for the update! :)
I do think that we will see further seperation as the eco-system expands but that is not a bad thing. Hive itself is a mix of too many things in the one place so it will help as people find their tribes and tick to them. This obviously needs the tribes to expand themselves and bring in new people for it to work.
Each tribe should be bringing in new members and adding to the eco-system over time.

Dam sounds like i need to look into this more as I saw this a couple of times today. but this is the first I hear of a hive partnership
They mentioned it about a year ago when hive first split away but the team was busy building until now and haven't heard much from them.
The token part is new though as i though we could just cross post to the site so it could be a big win for hive.

No mention of it yet but I presume they will have something on hive-engine to trade between tokens. Waiting for more news as they ramp up towards a launch date.

I will post when I have more concrete info and will be following along. Being able to earn more on another site using our hive content would be great. Especially with the ad revenue they are hoping to bring in it could be very profitable.
Don't worry. I will be the first in the queue to get that crypto.

It sounds like too much honestly. Like a big cluster F but hopefully they can pull it off. I hope they do a staggered release of the features and not just drop it all in the wild.
I had a very hard time gaining any traction on the old site so I really hope they do some changes to discovery on there above anything else.

It all depends on how they make it work really. If all of these things are working behind the scenes then great. There UI looks a lot like facebook andgives of a simple feel which i like.
If they have multiple tokens, sites, nodes, complications then it will never take off. I'm hoping they can deliver a web3 site with a web2 experience which we can use to share our hive posts and earn some tokens easily.
We will have to wait and see.

Still in beta so don't expect too much yet but a major project using hive and cardano as its base is a big deal to me. Too many projects start here and leave for other chains so having one start and join here is a big vote of confidence and could lead to others following in their footsteps if it is successful.
