A Lightning Intro to All Hive Engine Miner Tokens I've Invested In

(Edited)

So Hive-engine.com has a lot of tokens, and finding information about them can be tedious. So let me go over the ones I've invested in very briefly, to help you determine which token could be your next favorite investment.

I've tried to give a few tips about how to go about each token, as some tokens are better to be bought outside of the Hive Engine. Lastly, I sorted the tokens alphabetically, to avoid bias.

ARCHONM - A miner token for the ARCHON community (@archon-mining)
Passively mines ARCHON tokens, no need to stake (so easier to sell when it moons). Periodically spits out a Hive reward. It also mines a range of other tokens to a small extent, and owners may get additional rewards if they have sufficient miners to get significant ARCHON governance power (I believe this kicks in at about ~5 miners+). Hard cap at 1000(!). Goes for 100-150 Hive per miner at time of writing.

CTPM - A miner token for the Click-Track-Profit platform. (@jongolson)
Passively mines CTP tokens when staked, which are used by CTPTalk, and are associated with a affiliate program. CTP tokens can vary a lot in value and they are not so liquid, but at least the supply is capped to 261k (for now). Goes for 1.25 Hive per miner at time of writing.

DHEDGE - A miner token for the Discord Hedge fund.
Passively mines a wide assortment of tokens, no need to stake (so easier to sell when it moons). Hard cap at 500k. Associated with the ARCHON community. Should not be bought on the Hive Engine at this time due to high prices, but rather by sending tokens (e.g., Hive, Sim, ARCHON) to @discohedge. Goes for about 0.3 Hive per miner.

EDS - Eddie Earner miner token. (@spinvest or @eddie-earner)
Passively mines Hive, no need to stake. Can be hard to sell, but provides consistent 12%+ return in Hive per year, when bought at 1 Hive. Capped at only 20,000. Goes for 1 Hive at the moment.

LBI - LEO Backed Investment. (@lbi-gov)
Doesn't return anything yet, but will return dividends in the future. LEO-based investment platform run by the same team that has managed the SPI token. Best currently bought on the Hive Engine, where it currently goes for ~1 LEO, but can also be bought by sending LEO tokens to @lbi-token (at 1.1 LEO per LBI). Can be sold apparently as well by sending LBI to the same account, at 95% value.

LEOM / LEOMM - A miner token for LEO.
Passively mines LEO when staked. Hard cap at 150k for LEOM, and 15k for LEOMM (which is 4x faster). ROI is about 30% when purchased for 4-5 LEO apparently. Also likely to be the target of future airdropped tokens, such as those associated with Project Black. Goes for ~14 Hive for LEOM and ~60-100 Hive for LEOMM. Do not buy LEOMM for more than 4x the LEOM price..

PALM / PALMM - A miner token for the PAL community. (@minnowsupport)
Passively miner PAL when staked, which is a community that is developing a betting platform among other things. Has been around for a while, and are now sold at 33 Hive for PALM and 100 Hive for PALMM (4x as fast). Buy PALMM instead of PALM while this is the case.

SIM - A miner token for DCity. (@dcitygame)
Passively mines Hive when more than 8000 are owned, and the player has a DCity account. In my personal opinion, it is better to use SIM to buy DCity cards, as they offer a better ROI.

SPI - Hive Based Investment. (@spinvest)
Returns dividends in SPI, gradually growing one's holdings. Aims to achieve 20% ROI per year. SPI is a mostly Hive-based investment platform run by @spinvest. Capped at 100k tokens at the moment. Best currently bought on the Hive Engine, where it currently goes for ~4-5 Hive, which I believe is slightly under the token's nominal value.

UTOPIS - non-Hive Mining Investment (@chronocrypto)
Returns Hive, no need to stake. Return is generated by funding ETH miners from the invested Hive tokens, so ROI will vary with ETH price (which is currently very high). Capped at 100k tokens at the moment, but hard capped at 1M tokens. Goes for 3.5 Hive at the moment, after the initial selling rounds sold out rapidly.

WORKERBEE - Hive Engine token miner (@aggroed)
Returns BEE tokens. BEE tokens are subject to inflation, but may also come into big demand once the Hive Engine matures. WORKERBEE is capped at 302k tokens at the moment, but there appears to be no sensible hard cap for the token. Currently goes for 2 Hive, and due to the unknown inflation it's almost impossible to tell whether that is a good price.

If anything is wrong, obsolete or incomplete about my descriptions, then please do leave a comment and I'll gladly update the post.

Likewise, if you'd like me to add your miner token, just leave me a comment and I'll add it in (with a brief disclaimer that I haven't invested in it myself).

Hi,

thank you for the overview. One small addition to SPI. SPI issues dividends at the moment and is separate from the LBI-token, even of the same team is behind.

Hope this helps!

Oh dear, the whole SPI description was wrong actually! Thank you so much for pointing that out!

I did now amend the text. Does it read correctly now, and do you think it mentions all relevant details there now?
