The euro slipped to 1.1838 from 1.1895 on the statements of the vice-president of the European Commission for interdepartmental relations and forecasting. Maros Sefcovic said the European Union "will step up litigation without UK action to remedy the violation of the Brexit agreement in Northern Ireland (NI)."

Then the fall of the EUR / USD pair intensified after the release of the disappointing results of the ZEW poll. The EUR / GBP cross fell to 0.8535, adding pressure to the euro.

GBP / USD fell to fresh daily lows around 1.3834, although it recovered after that 1.3875. The rebound was facilitated by the fall of the euro / pound pair. At the time of this writing, the pound is worth 1.3841.

Due to the euro reversal, the dollar index managed to reverse from 91.99 and recover to 92.47. The index rose to a maximum volume level of 92.40. Correction should be expected from him.

European statistics and geopolitics intervened in the dynamics of the euro. If the selling of the euro in the crosses stops, then on the back of the strong positions of the AUD and NZD, we can expect a recovery to 1.1860.
